      twitching?

So I take LOTS of naps around here and WILD in almost all. But lately I've been noticing that my body twitches. Like my legs and arms will totally jolt out of no where. Sometimes I can feel them coming too, telling how big they will be just before it happens. This has just come up in the past few weeks and hasn't degraded yet. Anyone else getting this or possibily know what my be causing these twitches? I'll get the first one after about 10 minutes of laying down.

Twitching? or do you mean like... more of a sudden jolt - like where your full body jerks. I've noticed this a few times before when I've taken naps, usually I have a reason for them though... for example, if I'm falling, I'll wake up with a jolt. Or other sudden things like that.

Do you remember what you're dreaming when you "twitch" or "jolt" or whatever it is? Or do they happen while you're falling asleep?

Oh, I guess its a jolt. They don't come from my dreams because I'm not dreaming yet when they happen. When I lay down, I think about stuff and visualize, after a short time, I start getting those jolts.

Yep... I get them too. Not too badly though
I've always considered it an early phase of the onset of HI and SP... but Im not sure...

      I have had similar things.

I was wondering if it could be to do with your energy levels. For example if you eat loads and loads and don't do much exercise then you have a lot of energy to burn off.

Alternatively I know that if you do a lot of exercise you can experience muscle twitches.

These are just guesses really but maybe you've changed your diet or are doing some more/less exercise?

I'm sure there must be some good info about this somewhere out there

I've had what you are talking about and I looked into it and read that it is just something natural that occurs when your body is trying to fall asleep. Exactly why or what makes it happen I'm not sure about. Some of them are different, like when you jerk awake when you think you are falling or get hit with something, etc. But some others just sort of come from nowhere, and yeah I know what you mean when you can say you can "feel them coming on". Just know that its a natural reaction and nothing to worry about. Why it's happening to you more now though might be something to look into.
