      Astral Projection Interesting Question

I haven't tried Astral Projection, or read much about it, but I was wondering if anyone ever tried sitting in a chair near a corner, and then when you project yourself outward you could try looking around the corner to see what's there.
I presume that your mind would come up with something to be there.
If this has already been brought up, mods please delete topic.

I know that there were some "astral projection" research projects that would write something -- a random string of numbers or something -- on a piece of paper and then put that paper face up high on a bookshelf, some place that a normally awake person wouldn't be able to see. Then, the test subject was supposed to astral project (er, is that a verb? LOL) and read what was there, then report back. It's similar, but for some reason, I like your idea better.

I astral projected out of my ex-mother-in-law's house into her front lawn. On the lawn were a bunch of large metal sculptures. One in particular stood out to me. It depicted a whale and fisherman. It was so detailed, I drew a picture of it.
The next day, my ex-wife and I saw the picture in a store, only it was made of cloth and not metal. I wanted to buy it, but it was about $1200.

So, I guess what happened was clairvoyance. But, when I astral projected, I walked right out of the room, and out the front door. It was just like getting up out of bed. When I saw all the stuff in the front yard, I knew I was on the astral plane.

I think the difference between astral projection and lucid dreaming is with astral projection you can project into different planes. If you have dreams of flying around your neighborhood at night, and everything looks really normal, it could be astral projection.

You may see strange things overlay reality because you are seeing other planes, not just the physical one. However I have heard of quite a few astral trips where people only experienced physical reality.

I don't think I'm good enough to read stuff on a shelf, but I bet there are people who are.

My conclusion so far: Lucid dream = happens in your mind, AP = happens also in your mind like a LD, but people who are good in ESP (claivoyance) can actually "see" things on the astral plane during AP/OBE. No need to actually go out of your body (except consciousness, but that is not "in" your body anyway). I think this explanation makes most sense, but i could of course be mistaken...

There is also the concept of "Etheral Projection", that is when you are outside your body in the "real time zone" an astral projection could very well be done without leaving the body, but it can also happen when outside the body. Dreams might be a part of the astral-planes. Some astral-planes you make up yourself (like dreams) others is solid and can't be changed by one individual.
An astral projection without leaving the body is by some called "Phasing" others call it "Shifting", and then some think it is a "WILD". The question is: is dreaming a trip to the astral-planes or isn't it. I think it just might be...
