I am not well versed in "astral projection", much less WILD. But I keep an open yet skeptical mind to everything.
If my understanding of AP is correct (and it's probably not so bear with me), all it should be a releasing of consciousness from the physical body in the form of whatever. Basically, becoming a ghost without dying.
So, wouldn't it follow that you can see objects in the waking world as you would see them a ghost?
Some of you may have heard of my simple "playing card" experiment. Basically, find a glass table in the house. Take a deck of cards, and shuffle them up really well. Take three at random and place them on the glass table face down. If you don't have a glass table, tape three cards to a window with the face away from you (you don't want to know what the cards are just yet.)
Now, induce an AP. You should easily be able to see the cards from under the table or on the other side of the window. Just take a good look, remember what they are, and wake. Now check and compare the cards.
If I ever manage to FINALLY get the hang of staying aware while you fall asleep, this is one thing I'd be willing to try myself. But I encourage anyone who is adept at this skill to give it a shot. It could prove a compelling case for the existence of AP. I try to look for cases giving it a good solid basis for existence, but most of these reports come from websites that are questionable in their analytical methods.
