      Precognitive Dreaming

Dreams that show signs of the future...Very many have them.. Seems to be the only ones I remember when I was little eh. I still have a few... What do you guys think? Do you have any experience with them? Science completely dis-owns the fact though.. Well scientists do..

Not a lot of society do.

Have you had any of these experiences please post them up!

I dont want to be alone on this debate! Heh. Maybe when I get older and go to college for oneirology I might be able to prove it!

I had an extremely realistic LD about staying in my friend's house, drunk, while his family were in the living room watching a tv show. On the evening of the third night that exact thing happened, same show and everything! I'm a rational guy and I know my subconscious probably just cooked up a scenario that was pretty likely to happen in real life... makes you think though!! lol

Sometimes I won't remember the dream until it happens. Usually the next day because something so mundane, such as a pencil will remind me of the dream. Creeps me out, but in a good way... i don't know how to explain the feeling. Usually these come as False awakenings which somehow turn into me living out in advance the first few minutes after I wake up but before I do. I guess you could direct a F.A. to show you the future... I'll have to do a post/thread on this...

I had a dream a few nights ago of a guy I haven't seen in a while. I turned a corner and he was teaching Tae-Kwan-do to some people. I went up to talk to him but was rudely interrupted by a Chinese tourist who was praising him for the film he has recently been in.

I called my mate (who knows him better) the next day to tell him of this dream.
      Turns out...

... The guy has recently moved down South and is teaching Tae-Kwan-do to competition fighters. He was also in a low budget film many years ago in which he fought in a martial arts scene.

      Weird.

      Not really precognitive, but still.

Hi. Yeah, I guess I've had a few precognitive-type dreams. I used to have them when I was a child... although usually about mundane, irrelevant events.. Usually, something in my life would trigger a deja-vu type of feeling and then I would remember having a dream about the exact situation.. It would be triggered by my say, knocking something over or the like...
As I got older, these occurred less and less. Then, before a major event in my life, I began having dreams about a place. It was an art festival.. I dreamt of it over and over. At this festival, I met my now husband.. It was a major event in my life. We are very, very close. I dreamt about art structures and things that I didn't know were there, until I actually attended and saw them. Then, I knew that I had dreamt about these things.. and after I met him, I knew why. This was 10 years ago.
The last time anything of this nature happened was a few years ago... 2005, actually. It was during the whole avian flu scare, when the H1N1 virus was first brought into public awareness. One night, I had a dream, a lady surrounded by white light, in a white dress.. She talked to me all night.. She showed me how to do things in my dreams, like go through solid objects. She took me to a mountain. There were snow-covered tops. She showed me inside the mountain. There were laboratories.. and men in white coats.. They were manipulating a virus. It was not acting like they expected. They were frustrated and confused. "They do not understand divine intervention." She told me. And, I knew they were trying to create an "evil" virus, but it was not going according to their expectations.
This has always stuck with me.. and now with the emerging swine flu scare.. you can see the strange relevance, here.
Coincidentally, she kept saying 6-6-6, as in the approaching date, this was in 2005, remember. "They have something planned." she said. She wanted me to keep my husband home, on this date. He works at a very large harbor. It was my impression that this woman in white expected that there may be a plan to transpire on this date at this particular harbor, and she was trying to warn me. I actually woke myself up a couple of times, saying this number, (6-6-6), trying to remember this date as if it were very important. Before this, I had not given much thought to this date or the odd combination of its numbers. When I went back to sleep, she was there again. She stayed with me all night. Fortunately, nothing of significance happened on this date. Perhaps their plans fell through. Perhaps there never were any plans.
Nevertheless, her words still stay with me. "They do not understand divine intervention". I see this inherent in the evil in this world. Sometimes, it can seem very clever.. but it is always ignorant. Ignorant of the divine plan and the divine nature of reality. Alas, this is only my opinion.
Anyway, I am not sure that this qualifies for 'precognitive', as I am unable to prove any solid connections, but the recent unleashing of the swine flu, which is an unnatural combination of about 5 different flu viruses, including the H1N1 is very interesting, indeed. Also, isn't it funny how there is all of this hysteria surrounding the swine flu, but it is no more deadlier than the average seasonal flu? Personally, I think their original plans failed, but they are still trying to cash out, so that it's not a total loss.
I still search for the woman in white, in my dreams, but she has not yet made an appearance in over four years.

I've had dreams of places that I had never been to, which I later ended up at in waking life months or years later.

And no, I'm not talking about famous places like Paris or New York City, these were usually small buildings with distinctive landmarks and architecture that I recognized when I actually visited them.

This happened to me a couple of months ago. I entered a baby shop, looked around and got this weird deja vu feeling. Well, usually deja vu feelings stop there, but then I suddenly remembered the dream I had years, I mean YEARS ago!!! In details. The exact same room, saleswomen, colors, the feeling was so intense... I freaked out.

But this things amuse me. Who knows what clicked in my brain.

I tend to dream of events that are about to come in the next day. Things that are way too odd to be a coincidence. I remember once when I was young I dreamed of a hot air balloon. Guess what we had at school that day as a surprise treat? =]

Everybody's family has a tale of a relative who predicted the future or something. Mine is my grandfather, who had a really vivid dream about his friend dying in a car crash. He told his friend about it, who laughed. A couple of days later the friend was killed in a car crash. Weird stuff.

only one, but it convinced me that the future can be known...i was 23 and, over a course of about a month i had three dreams in which i was involved in a car accident and my right leg was injured..the third dream was so intense i sat up and wrote it all down.it was the first dream i ever wrote down in my life... i wore a small leather pouch on my belt and put the dream into it. several weeks went by and i forgot about it....then one day i was hitchhiking from one town to another and was picked up by a guy...as we pulled onto the freeway i had a CERTAINTY that we were going to get into an accident...it stopped me cold as i had never experienced anything like it...it wasn't a fear, but an absolute, inescapable knowing...i thought maybe i should tell the driver, but then thought that might freak him out and cause it, then i thought maybe i should ask him to pull over and let me out, but thought that might cause it....then i finally came to the conclusion that there was no way to avoid it....we continued on and i sort of forgot about it....when we pulled off on an offramp where i was to get out, i thanked him, got out, (at a stopsign, in a crosswalk) and walked across to the curb...just before i stepped onto the curb i heard brakes lock up and was hit by a woman going very fast and in the process of running a stopsign...i was thrown 28 feet into another highway...never lost consciousness but my right femur was shattered...taken to the hospital and put into a coma because i was given too much demerol...four days later i woke up...there was a little nightstand next to my bed...i opened the drawer and there was my pouch i wore...i opened it and took out a key that was bent at a right angle and embedded into a tube of chapstick...and the folded up dream that very accurately predicted the whole thing...the car actually hit me exactly in the folded up piece of paper that held the dream...i was stunned...i have never had any feeling like that since or any more prophetic dreams, but that one convinced me beyond any doubt...

I've had them several times. But a lot of the time I don't realize it's a precongnitive dream until the event or object happens. I guess I have to work on interpreting dream symbols

Yeah when I was like 7-10 this happened a lot. One time in particular, I remember pulling into a kroger parking lot in our car at twilight right next to the cart return rack and all the sudden I instantly remember a fragment of a dream I had of exactly this same place. It still happens every once in a while.

I personally don't believe I actually had the dream, since I have never remembered the dream until I arrive at that point in time. I think it is more of deja vu in that I wasn't really paying attention or was thinking of something and somehow the image of the present slipped directly into my long-term memory, making it SEEM like I had seen this place or been in this situation before, in a dream.

I also remember before I started college I dreamed of being there in a room which was high up with one wall full of windows and a view of the mountains. One of my classes was held in that exact room. I'd never been there before so there was no way of knowing what it would be like.

I've often interpreted dreams and had very applicable metaphors for devining possible events.

Yeah, check this out.. I just randomly heard that some company.. (I think it was Baxter) applied for a patent on the swine flu vaccine back in 2005 in Switzerland.. I looked at some pics of Switzerland online and found some snow covered mountain tops that looked just like the ones in my dream where the lab was at..
      trip on that.

actually, over the summer I had a dream about meeting a person I knew, but wasn't close with at all. I went to summer camp with the person, but was never in her camp group or anthing, I think we rode the same bus or something.

But... I had a dream about meeting her(it was a WEIRD dream though, where we met at night on the roof of a house or something, and there were other people we were with, but I don't remember who they were).. but that summer, on vacation, I actually met the person I dreamed about in Maui. (I had the dream about a week before I left for the trip I believe).

Maybe coincedence, but the reason for me to dream about this specific girl just escapes me. I don't like her(in a sexual or relationship way), and I hadn't even thought about her for like 5 or so years.

      very odd.
