      Sharing a dream

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experiences with this and they could tell me how it is done (or even any sugestions on how to try) Both myself and the other person can lucid dream, myself as a little higher than a novice (since my son was born my natural talent went down the crapper lol) and the other person quite accomplished as far as I know.
So do you think that because the other person is better at doing this that they should be the one to initiate it or should I. And how do you start it...what do you look for that would suggest that you are both dreaming the same dream not just one person dreaming about the other.
Any help that anyone can give would be amazingly helpful.
      Thanks
The only limits of our minds are the limits we set for ourselves.

Well, 1st of all, both you & your partner must be at a very high LDing level. 2nd, come up w/a secret code, & 3rd, in your LD, yell it out, & if done simotaniously, you should fuse.

I disagree. This may be your experience, but mine is very different. Assuming that my experiences have been shared dreams, which they seem to be, despite me maintaing a bit of skepticism, it seems that the person needs no experience in LDing at all. I just open a portal to them, and jump in. Then we report having the same dream, the next day. Though I'm still somewhat skeptical, despite how many times it's happened. I'll admit I'm a little optimistic about it, still, though.

I know that you disagree, but maybe it is b/c my niece is only 6, & doesn't know how to use it!

That's fair enough, Nesgirl. To TygrHawk, I might come visit you, if I feel like it. We could discuss something fun to do on MSN. But, I might note, I'm still a little skeptical of the whole thing.

Then why don't you try to fuse w/me, or something....? B/c sometimes I can get lonely playing Nintendo by myself!

That could be fun. I'll think about it. If I don't show up, you could go ahead and find me. Assuming this whole thing is real, I think you and I might be the best candidates to find some decent proof for the research project.

Okay, we can either fuse regularly, or I can be a daredevil, & try entering your dreams through a Sci-fi, if you promise not to cut off my sash, or do anything nasty!

Ok, you can do it either way. I kinda doubt that I'd cut off your sash, unless I was in low-level lucidity and really paranoid due to previous things in the LD. Really doubt I'd do that to you. Let's see if it works. Perhaps we can get some proof. I'm still skeptical, but I still like to experiment with the idea.

Okay, I am glad that you wouldn't do that, & who knows, I once entered a strange guy's LD through a Sci-fi, & I may be able do it again. The reason I am so paranoid about my blue sash being cut is b/c my boss told me that if the sash was somehow severed, I would die......don't know why, but b/c of my thanatophobia, that does keep me paranoid!

Yeah, but it's ok to have a bit of a phobia. Don't worry, I have the feeling that it's indestructable anyways.

      Dear Spareair,

Certainly the Test as to whether you both dreamed the same Dream is that you both remember the same dream, of course each from his or her own viewpoint.

Years ago I and an acquaintance had the same dream. We were both starving college students and dreamt of searching for food in the Cafeteria.... maybe it was an out of body projection... but it remembered just like a dream. In the dream we met coming from opposite directions, we greeted and then discussed the foods we found from our separate ways. The next day we met in the hallway and laughed when we realized tht we each recalled what the other person had said and did. We had a common dream... or we shared the same Dream Scene simultaneously.

So, I would suppose the trick is not to concentrate on the person, but instead to concentrate upon an actual place. Just like in real life, just thinking about a person does not bring about a meeting... you must both go to the same Coffee Shop and get there at the same time.

You may suppose getting there at the same time would be a problem, but have you never noticed that the Dream Mind has a freakishly accurate sense of timing, as you consider how many dreams have come to appropriately spectacular conclusions just a moment before your alarm clock would startle you out of your sleep.

I didn't say robe, but I did say sash, you know, that thing that Michelle, Cody, & I see tied around our bellies........that help us find our way home (kind of like the rope they use in mazes in cartoons).

I get the feeling that the sash is probably indestructable. But it's probably better safe than sorry. Of course, that's assuming it's more than just a dream. Which I'm skeptical of. If it's just a dream, then there's no danger at all. You can just teleport back to your duplicate if you honestly don't think you can awake without returning to it.

What makes you think that it is indestructable? Also, I don't think that it is my duplicat that I go back to......I think it is more of my sleep spot!!

Yeah, but this sash is different from the average sash you find in real life...finishes definition....found snuggly tied around your belly, often times in a Sci-fi, & is usually soft like a piece of clothing. This sash can extend for miles behind you, & is oftentimes noticed by your peers also having a Sci-fi who also have an extended sash too!. Legend has it that if the sash is severed or loosened, you will die suddenly (except this is only a legend my boss told me!). Still, this is enough to keep me paranoid, since I am thanatophobic! That is why when my boss told me the story, I hid under a desk, & wouldn't come out for a while!! I know that this is only a dream, though, so I do not panic today!

I think it's indestructable because, the way I understand it, it would sever when you die, but can't be severed before you die. It's not that the severing causes death, it's that death causes the severing. That is assuming it were more than a realistic LD, though. I'm skeptical of it being more than that, but it's possible.

That is fine by me. Now let's grab Cody's sash, & make fun of him!!

Custodian.....well, he had Sci-fis when he was younger, too, but he said he never saw the sash. He also went to a place for people who are different. He learned a lot about paranormal abilities while he was there, so that is why he tells me stories!

Of course you can, Nesgirl. I'll be sure to sign up for the Dream Sharing experiment once I'm done updating my dream journal, Nina.
