      Don Juan's Gait of Power

So i was reading this part and i realized i don't quite understand the part with your hands. I'm guessing curling your fingers against your palm is pretty much like making a "soft" fist. With stretching i'm guessing you should ultimately form a "pistol" with your hands. Am i correct?
Also how do you bend your trunk and keep your spine straight?

I have wondered about this subject myself; excellent question
Thought plus emotion creates attitude. Attitude plus action creates experience and experience determines reality

Kangaxx, check out this link and you can see how the hand is to be held during the gait of power. Funny you should post this since I got no real response on the tensegrity thread I started a couple days ago.

When I was in my 20s and 30s I tried to do the gait of power but all it ever did for me was exhaust me quickly. It is really hard to sustain for very long. You don't bend your back, you bend at the waist so that you can raise your knees to your chest. The back itself should be held as straight as possible. I found it much easier to do if you run in place. If you try to move forward it is very tiring. Nowadays my back wouldn't allow me to do it anyway!

BTW, check out the various tensegrity vids on Youtube. If you practice them regularly you will notice a difference in your energy and mood. I was a serious practitioner for over 10 years, but have backed off all the CC stuff recently. After meditation and listening to binaural beats I sometimes still do it and the energetic effect is undeniable. If Castaneda really made these movements up then at least he knew what he was doing!

Well what did you expect, the only place to really learn it was Castaneda's seminars, for which he charged ridiculous sums of money. I mean would you pay for this link ?

I always thought of the gait of power as just lifting your legs high when traversing uneven terrain at night so you don't trip. It's served me well running from the cops in my teens.
