    1. Old Dream: Heroic Puppy

      by , 10-25-2015 at 06:06 PM
I get nervous about losing my DJ, so I keep it in more than one place.
I'd also like to consolidate it and get all of the rest of it onto here for easier searching and tagging.

      Feb. 16, 2003:
I had some dreams I really don't remember, except that they weren't nightmares. Then I had dreams about woods, but they were nice dreams. Then I had a dream about a puppy. It was sort of scary but the end was happy, so it doesn't qualify a nightmare.

Then I had a sort of semi, psuedo-nightmare, but the puppy was still involved... hmm... oh well.

In my dream I was walking through the woods. They were more like deciduous woods, though. Not sure if they were Florida woods at all. I encountered a tall man with light brown hair. I can't remember what color his eyes were, or if they had a color. All I remember is saying "I remember you" and asking him his name. He wouldn't tell me his name

Then there was the dream about the puppy, I don't remember much except that the puppy was going through a temple to save some people, and in the end the puppy managed to save them. It was smallish, sort of like a terrier, with silvery black fur, only it had floppy ears. It was a VERY cute puppy, though.

Then I had a dream I was in a car with J__ following another car through some sort of theme park, and his brakes gave out. Somehow, though, we made it through that alive, mostly because the guy in front of us used the back end of his own car to slow us down (everything was mostly downhill so we would have kept gaining speed). The guy was NOT pleased that he had to total his car, but... hey... we didn't die.

    3. Horses, Bikes

#1 - Dreamed about houses. Creepy houses that bothered me for some reason. The house we were in had a pool in the back that looked like a grave, and was full of black water. For some reason, the woman I was living with in the dream drove her ancient beater car into the pool to sink it.

#2 - Dreamed about a girl who looked like Bella from Twilight (I hate Twilight). She was out in the wilderness with a group of other people, they were riding horses. Somebody attacked them, possibly stole some of their horses. An enormously fat gross guy, who had been a member of their group before and smelled awful, showed up on horseback and stole the remaining horse. He was pissed off at the girl because earlier he'd been walking with the group with his shirt off, but his back was really gross and had boils all over it, and she had yelled at him to put some damn clothes on. Anyway, she did locate another horse that had run off into the brush, but didn't have a saddle, so she had to improvise and ride without a saddle.

Then - same character, different setting - she and some other people are trying to get bikes out of a... grotto thing. It's a cave with a vertical shaft and a ramp and there are bikes hidden in there. Getting them up and out is tricky since the bottom of the cave has been flooded and they don't have any ropes or pulleys to work with.

    4. Careful With That, You'll Put An Eye Out

      by , 01-19-2009 at 05:37 AM
Had a nightmare that I was doing my makeup and somehow accidentally stuck myself in the eye with a pair of tweezers. I didn't think it was that bad, so I went to the mirror to look at it and realized I'd jammed it in pretty deeply. Despite the apparent severity of the injury, it didn't hurt. I pulled the tweezers out of my eye, still didn't hurt even though I felt the tugging sensation, and realized there were more things stuck in my eye... like a magician's handkerchief or something... all said and done, I pulled out another pair of tweezers AND an eye lash curler. Much to my horror, I then realized that my entire eye was gone and there was nothing but a gaping red hole (which was amazingly not bleeding). I didn't know whether to freak out or not, because I was still shocked by it.

Then, I dreamed that I had twin kids who were about 8 years old, and I was pissed at them for some reason.

Then, I dreamed that I had taken some sort of exam or something like that... scored really well on some test, or something, and gotten a highly coveted award along with a new position. I don't remember what it was, though, except that there was a list of benefits from the position, but for some reason it just felt like something straight out of high school. Also, for whatever reason, when all of this was being read off, I was sitting in the woods, and I was wearing some kind of dress made from calico, and everyone was sitting on logs, even though it was some sort of technical position I had tested for.

    5. Snow

Dreamed about students at a graduation, but not a run of the mill one. This one was in the woods, for some reason. There were two teachers - an older man, and a younger man who looked kinda like that one-eyed dude from "Sparta". Anyway, both were wearing heavy cloaks. It was very, very early, so it was very misty. Another student approached them, who'd be in their class next year, and wanted to discuss what they thought of her poetry, but their answer was that "not until you rise to study with the morning mists, when the world is white ,will you be a poet". She left, upset and angry.

Dream cut to the student shivering and alone way out in the woods very early in the morning, the morning fog was pretty solid, so it looked like the trees were rising out of a sea of white. She was kneeling and trying to recite poetry. At one point, she managed to avoid a poisonous snake, although she had no idea. Finally, she wasn't able to deal with the cold any more, so she tried to lie down in some very tall grass to sleep, only to land next to the snake, which bit her in the neck. This caused a series of hallucinations, where she blacked out.

However, at some point, she had a revelation when the sight of a black wolf caused her to realize that the memory of the snake biting and poisoning her was false - there had never been a snake at all. The second teacher had attacked her in the woods and cast a spell on her.

There was then something about beaches, and the sea, and the dream shifted. It was the same character, but she was playing PS3. The house they were all in was like my aunt's old house on Day Ave. Her uncle complained that she hadn't produced any artwork and was irritated by this shortcoming, which she would not explain. At some point, we all went out on the screened patio to look at some seeds we had planted but never watered, only to find that it had been so humid that water was condensing and nourishing the plants anyway, which had grown and were getting ready to flower.
