I am pleasantly surprised with the amount of lucid dreams I've been having these past couple weeks. I am not sure if it's the binaural beats I listened to a couples times before sleeping or the "mantra" I recited to myself nearly every night before I hit the sack.

I did not become lucid due to a false awakening for once! I was in the bathroom just sitting on the toilet doing nothing when I suddenly said to myself "I am dreaming!" I sat for a moment and just told myself that it was a dream and then I looked at my hands; they looked fine though my vision was a bit blurry. I then got up and looked in the mirror remembering that we don't look the same or at least "messed up" in lucid dreams. My my nose and mouth were to the side in a weird position so I knew then I was really dreaming. I did one last check by poking my finger through my palm which actually kind of hurt, but it slowly sank through. I told myself to stay calm and took a few deep breaths so I didn't get over excited and lose lucidity.

Next, I did what I always seem to do after becoming lucid. I tried summoning Howie D. from the Backstreet Boys LOL. I thought I had better chances since I just saw NKOTBSB in concert saturday. Sadly, i did not get Howie but a random guy dressed as a police officer appeared behind me. I tried to touch him but my hand went through him. My eyes were starting to close and I knew I was preparing to wake up so I took some more deep breaths and spun in a circle slowly. I tried touching the guy again and I could feel him and that's when I remember yelling out in my dream "OH MY GOD I CAN FEEL YOU! I CAN FEEL YOUUUUU!" The guy laughed and had this look of "what the hell is wrong with this chick..." on his face. Not much happened after that and I eventually slipped into a regular dream.

on a side-note: at the hotel, I did have a lucid dream like that but it was triggered by a false awakening. I am slowly making progress and I think not obsessing over it in waking life has helped. I haven't made it far "control" wise but I really want to work on summoning people before I try to fly around and wreak havoc by doing crazy things.
