    Inside the Mind of Mattlantis

So, you want a glimpse into my sleeping mind? Be careful, it can get pretty dark in there~

    1. Do the Windy Thing

These were my dreams from this morning. The first, which I remember almost nothing about, solely consisted of me texting a friend while sitting in bed. Something caused me to wake up and I saw that I still had a little more than an hour before my alarm would go off, so I attempted a WBTB.

I remember I was in a car with Sam and Dean from Supernatural, with possibly one other person. We stopped somewhere to eat I think, and at some point, I acquired a flash of lucidity. I got a little too excited and closed my eyes, very nearly waking myself up right there, but I just relaxed and visualized the setting of the dream and managed to stabilize it. I got back in the car with everyone else and started driving when I got the idea to just make the car fly like the way John flew the car in Homestuck. I imagined the car lifting off like a plane as I drove on the road, and it did start to lift a bit, but then a tornado appeared in front of us and lifted us up, although I still had complete control over the car and apparently the tornado. I commented that it was like The Wizard of Oz and cackled like a witch on purpose, then the dream or my recall skipped again. Still lucid, I was in a city at night standing in the street. I looked up into the sky determined to fly again and jumped. It was a bit difficult and I gained altitude pretty slowly, but I spread my arms, visualized rising up like an eagle riding a hot updraft (visualizing seems to really help when I'm trying to exert control), and flew up and over a bridge. Some of the birds who were up there squawking and chirping at me, so I jokingly squeaked and chirped back. I got the feeling that we actually understood each other, and eventually I landed on a rooftop garden courtyard thing.

I believe I lost lucidity at this point, and there were a lot of kittens laying around in this courtyard that led down into an apartment. Most of them ignored me, until I walked down into the apartment a bit. I was afraid to proceed too far into the apartment for fear of getting caught, but then a few cats meowed and jumped onto me. They weren't hurting me, but they wouldn't let go and were basically just trying to weigh me down. I tried climbing back up the stairs but so many jumped on me I collapsed. I wasn't exactly afraid, they were just kittens after all, but I was a bit annoyed and I kept struggling until I woke up.
    2. Sejuani and Falling

I am writing this late at night, but I actually took some notes this morning so I can remember this dream fairly well. The ending made me wake up really early so I took notes then went back to sleep, but we'll get there.

The first part of this dream I remember was being in a jungle area with a lot of wooden fortifications, tree forts, and things of that nature, inhabited by gnolls and some other creatures from World of Warcraft. I was some rogue-type character, and I somehow "knew" that I was level 1 and I knew my way around the area because I had "done it before," presumably as another character. This seems to occur a lot in dreams, and I should probably start looking for it as a dream sign, but that's a little tricky due to the disconnected feeling associated with playing a video game, which is what most of my dreams feel like.

Anyway, there were these relic type objects scattered throughout some of the forts, and if you destroyed a few of the ones in a certain area, you could gain a new base, more money, or other rewards. So I was climbing around stealthily and assassinating a lot of the gnolls as well as destroying the relics.

After doing this for a while, I moved to another area which was a huge frozen mountain area and the dream took on a new feel. I was now a part of a 5v5 battle in this area, a la League of Legends. I was Sejuani, which is odd because I never play her. After a small teamfight on top of a small plateau, I chased down another character who had escaped with little help. I can't remember for the life of me who it was I was chasing. It may have been Katarina, because I vaguely remember that it was a female with red hair.

After giving up on the chase I explored a bit, still Sejuani. There were several wild white wolves in a rocky area and I just stampeded past them, turning to strike them a few times to get them off of my tail.

I eventually came to a sheer cliff with a wall on the left side, and the wall and floor had many wooden "supports" sticking out. There was something valuable on the other side but the cliff was extremely windy, threatening to blow anyone who tried to cross off of the edge. I dismounted whatever Sejuani's mount is and suddenly became myself again. I skittered along the edge of the wall, holding onto the supports, and managed to get to the other side very easily. I recovered the treasure and began to make my way back, but suddenly the wind picked up even more. It pushed me back towards the cliff and I almost fell, but managed to grab onto a wooden pole at the last moment. I tried pulling myself up with it, but it ripped out of the ground and flew behind me. Now crawling, I was avoiding enough of the wind to get back to the wall. However, the wind was so intense that it kept ripping out the supports as I tried to hold onto them, and I nearly fell several times. During this time, I was "talking" to someone who wasn't there, and they made some comment about the reason the surface was so slick was because it was "good rust" and "bad wood," which struck me as very odd. I was about halfway back when it finally threw me off of the edge and I fell while laying on my back. I heard someone else talking about this bottomless cliff going on for eternity and getting infinitely colder as you fell, so I braced myself for the death I was sure would come and I felt the air growing colder quickly. However, it only really affected my ears for some reason, and they still didn't really feel all that cold. I could see blurry trees begin to move up into my field of vision, and I quickly realized that I was going to hit the ground and not freeze. My last thoughts were "Goodbye world," and then as I thought of my loved ones, "I'm sorry." Rather clichéd and deep for a dream death. When I hit the ground, everything went black and my back felt warm and dull, almost cramped feeling. And then suddenly my eyes opened and I was laying in my bed, hot under my blankets and sweating a bit.

It was two hours before my alarm was set, so I took notes and went back to sleep. Sadly, I don't recall any further dreams.
