    Here be dragons

When I have good dream control and good lucidity, I will put the dream in green.
It's maybe early to put this up, but I tend to have disturbing and/or violent dreams and I'm a very visual person, which could mean detailed description of unsavory stuff. I will probably put warning at the beginning of dreams containing those, and keep the more graphic description to my private DJ.

My usual dreams partner in crimes are Eli, my tulpa, David, a persistent DC and Michael and Donald, two of my novel characters.
Eli is usually very tall and dark haired, with a long face, thick eyebrows and bright, skyblue eyes. David is only slighty taller than me, with boyish features and ginger hair. Michael is 6ft2, with blond and curly hair and light blue-green eyes. Donald is a red pembroke corgi. If my dream follow the same pattern as before, they will pop up on their own often, so I will keep basic description here to declutter my dreams entries.

    1. Competition and flowers.

by , 02-09-2016 at 09:41 PM (Here be dragons)
I'm in a competition, something in english I don't remember. I win the big prize, a trip to Venize. It doesn't look like the real deal at all; it's a big, green and lush prairie, with low, soft rolling hills. I walk around a little, listening to the murmuring grass. I spot a old, gnarly tree with a very dark, almost black bark and big off-white flowers. Their petals are thick, fleshy, with a waxy sheen and a very soft, floral smell. I pick a butch of them, the twigs holding them snapping easily. I try to put them into a pan filler with water, but the are so big I can't make them all fit.
After that I'm vsiting a house with a small group of people. It's mostly one long room, with green rottin furniture, fairly used; in place the rottin is faded to a soft, light gray. There's also potted plants clustered here and there, painting touches of colors in the house.

    2. All you need is love!

by , 01-05-2016 at 09:13 PM (Here be dragons)
I'm not sure about the chronological order of this dream.

It's a post-apocalyptic setting again, but this time the apocalypse happened very recently; we still don't know how bad it is, and what exactly has changed. I'm walking through a facility set in a warehouse with a man in a lab coat; there's a lot of people running around with files and tablets, making impromptu meeting and talking. It's badly lit, and I feel like I'm underground, even thought I can see a boat on the otherside of the warehouse, ad the light boncing of the waves painting pattern on the ceiling. I overhear a man talking about going to live at sea, on oil-extracting platform. I point out to the man walking with me that thoses platform are limited in space and food, so that's not a viable move. He leads me to a computer and we can see the number of people killed, separated in profession in a kind of spreadsheet. He points the physicians to me, telling that one in forty got killed. The number of killed physicians is two hundreds, and the cell color is orange.
I'm outside now, with a middle aged woman, in an alley between two buildings. It's a very sunny day, the shadows on the orange walls are razor sharp, an the metallic mesh closing one end of the alley is glittering. There's also a grey plastic table against the wall to my left, with a box on it. A man with sunglasses pick something up in the box and put it in his mouth. I sprint to him and kiss him, stealing the thing in the process. It's slightly sweet and chewy, like gum. Now that I'm close I recognize David, and he take another gum; it's small, white and tubular shaped, like a rubber from the end of a mechanical pencil.
We're back inside the warehouse, with the man and David, and we learn that we have to ask for help to some people. I know that they aren't normal human, and I pick a photograph of one of them, telling the crowd that I know him, that I call him Raphael. One of the people ask him how much I know him, and I answer that he likes me in white. We decide that me and David will go looking for him.
We're on a road, in a middle of a forest; I check a map, it seem that we are in Europe, somewhere between Germany and Russia. The sun is high in the sky, but the air is pretty chilly. David got a jeans, hicking boots and a warm coat, but I'm in a white, flowy dress. It cover my arms and go down to the floor, but it's made of a light material, in lots of layers. We've been walking for a long time and I complain that we're running out of road. We finally reach a big building, well integrated into the forest, with big glass walls and dark woods. The door has a steel inlay, and I walk in with David. Inside the floor is carpeted, the wall painted white and with the same dark wood panneling. It has the slightly cushy warm of central heat. I go to the admission desk, letting David sit in one of the armchair overlooking the road. The receptionnist is a small, blond-haired woman with a tight ponytail that brush her neck. She listens to me and talks into her headset before gesturing me to go to the armchair. I give her a smile and turn around, but before I can move Raphael enter the room.
He's a towering, willowy man, crowned with golden curls. He's wearing a long-sleeved light blue t-shirt over a jean and his fingers are stained with paint. He notices me and pulls me off the floor into a bearhug, and I get a good look of his freckled, charming face and light green eyes.
Later, I'm walking into the nearby city with David, the warm of the sun nicely contrasting with the chillness of the air. We're on a very pretty, pedestrian street made of sandstone. David makes me laugh, and I can see from the corner of my eye Raphael, walking with a small group of friends ahead of us turning around and looking for me. David whispers to me that Raphael agree to help because he's infatued with me. I laugh at the idea, but Raphael big smile when he hears my laugh seem telling.

Yeah, Eli does find that there's an awful lot of people loving me recently

    3. Lift me up

by , 10-30-2015 at 03:30 PM (Here be dragons)
I'm in a place where people travel in lift. It looks like a airport, with white tiles and tired travelers, but people wait around lifts rather that gates. The economic classes travels standing up, twenty per lifts, while paying extra allow you to travel seated, zight per lift. I wait my turn, holding a crystal teardrop shaped phial. When it fills with bright yellow foarm, I know it's time to get in. I enter my lift and open the folding seat, it's red velvet. accross from me is a middle aged busness man, to my right a woman, to my left the door. The lift fills in and the door close with a ting! then we're moving up. The man sitting in front of me starts to go on and on about how he can't différenciate men and women of asian origin and how they all looks the same to him. I dryly remark that a chinese man could say that all western men look the same to him, and of course he is rightfully indignant, not getting the hint.
We get off the lift and I go on my merry way, reaching a sort of seminar. A man hand me inking supplies and I find a table to try them, edging myself between rather famous artists in the process.

    4. That's a accurate depiction of travelling with my family actually.

by , 10-01-2015 at 07:12 PM (Here be dragons)
Semi-decent WBTB gave me good viviness but zero lucidity. Let's try that again shall we.

I'm with my mother in her car, and we're traveling through the contry. It's very peaceful, everything is sunny and the forest are lush and bright, deep green. We talk about someone I'm worried about IRL*, and on cue we're trying to get out of a hospital parking lot. It takes some maneuvers but my mother manage to get us out and back on the peaceful road. We reach a small twon, build on a steep hill. All the house are in old, weathered beige stones, with red tiles roofs and accent of potted plants and bright drapes. The road are paved with stones of the same color that the houses. Some of the houses are linked together with small aisles and overpass, it looks lit the town grown on itself over the years, becoming quite maze-like. I walk in a house and go up some stairs to enter another house, where the very old owner agressivly throw me out. I smell smoke, and see that the town hall is on fire, emitting a thick yellow smoke.
There are children running from it and firemen running to it, I join them to steer the reimaining children away. One of the fireman thanks me, and ask for my help to do the same with dogs trapped inside. The smoke is suffocating but I try, and soon there's dogs running everywhere. I don't recognize any of they breed, but some are clearly overzised. One of them, lanky in build with dark shaggy fur take a liking in me and follow me around, giving me doggy kisses and rubbing against me.

*The engineer I worked with during my training period. He gave me some new recently and things aren't easy for him.
    5. Seasick

by , 09-27-2015 at 01:32 PM (Here be dragons)
I'm in a gigantic boat, all steel and rust. I have to share my cabin with two other girls, and it's implied that there are many more. We're en route to a nebulous location othersea, and while not exactly happy about it we will be glad to get off the boat.
A woman open the cabin door to chid us, telling me that I need to turn in my drawnings ASAP, while giving contradictory instructions. I decide to take one of the other girl hair as model, and when free them from the hair clips. I start to drown, then wake up.
    6. Dreamvania: Symphony of Sleep

by , 09-26-2015 at 01:18 PM (Here be dragons)
No snake involved in last night dream, have an adventure instead.

I am in a east-european village, all stone and narrow muddy paths, with an overcast sky and chilling atmosphere. There isn't many people in the street, save for a black carriage without horses and a older gentleman with sweeping white hair. I walk to him and he hands me a curved sword. I tie it to my waist and go on to the center of the village; I need to go throught it to reach a castle looming on a hill. I put the sword to good use as a group of bandits attacked me with a knife that looks like it's made from a rasor blade monted on a oyster knife's handle. I know that this thing is made to slit throat and I dispatch them. I then go to the inn, it's pretty packed but I can't put my weapon away; I feel a painful pressure everytime I try.
I head out and finaly reach the castle. A pack of giant wolves is waiting for me, some of them with brlood red fur. I slay the ones who attack me, before one of the survivor take me on his back to enter the castle. What's left of the pack is following us, I notice that they're all brown, and somme of them have ribbon around their necks. I get off my wolf companion and walck up some stairs with an white wolf playfully nipping at my heels*. I become aware that someone is narrating what I'm doing, but I don't pay close attention to it.
The celling is lower and lower, I have to go to a big door that open in a high-celing room that seem to cover all the back of the castle. I swich on the light and see an enormous cat I think is mine** an go to the over side of the room, which is full all light thanks to gigantic windows. I can see the slab grey sea, an manucured lawn and a blue pool.
I subdue the light so my wolfs can come with me and find a deckchair to lounge on. My family join me, and I use mind power to lock the door going into the dark room for their safety. My grand mother start complaining about it and the windows start slamming open because of a strong wind. I try to keep them closed with my mind, but I can't until I make microscopic holes in the glass panel, "so the salt can go through" as my grand-mother say.

The dream flicker and I'm buying clothes with my sister before waking up.

*an habit of my sister's dog, who does have white fur.
**which is funny, because the mighty kitty is mighty in his mind but not much in his size.
    7. Family Holiday

by , 09-24-2015 at 08:44 PM (Here be dragons)
Woke up far less sleepy that yesterday, Yay! Mighty kitty grumpy because I forgot that it was brushing day... Less yay. He still sport the "I didn't scratch you on purpose, honest!" look. Does anyone know if cat hairs can play a role in dream lucidity?

I am on a vacation trip in a amusement park alongside a brown haired woman I don't know but I'm friendly with. We're riding a rollercoaster and she tells me that she want to go to space montain next. I agree, mainly because I haven't do it before. I have no idea if I end up ridding it tho, because in the next scene I'm busing taking place on a train with my family. The whole interior is brightly illuminated, with white plastic-y, shiny walls and beige carpet. There are small, airplane-like windows placed next to the chairs, and it looks more like a plane than a train. We get down in a underground station then walk through an badly lighted tunnel with a lot of people. A bright red wooden cart pulled by two small, black cows with long curved horns is advancing alongside us for a moment, decorated with golden bells and other fancy sculpts.
I end up in a very luxurious appartment, wanting to take a shower. I'm seemingly alone and find the bathroom. It's ginormous and slightly loopsized, completely tilded save for a small spot auround the oval mirror. There is five showerhead and I choose the one close to the door and window since it get the better light. I start showering, the water is nicely warm and the soap lather without problem. While I'm rinsing off I hear voices and see the door knob move, I quickly jump out and grab a long bathrobe before getting out. There is a man and his wife, the owners of the place who are allowing us here. I walk out on the terrace, it's so big it have a garden complete with trees! my family is sitting around a plastic table so I join in. My father get up and spill hair accessoiries over the table, tiny hair clips and elastic in almond green and black, visibly annoyed at me since I'm not using them even thought he paied for them.
      I woke up slightly puzzled.
