Every day I will record the most interesting or memorable dream I had the previous night.

    1. The Game

      Non-lucid

I am at my school, part of some game/experiment type thing. The object of the game is to be the last one left. All we have to do is use whatever materials are around us to survive. To bring another element to the game, we are all wearing green paper masks, to hide our identity from each other. It starts out with an air of tension. I remain by one of the entrances to the school with a few other players. We stand by and watch as the majority of students mill about without getting anything productive done. We decide to work together to set up a small area where we will remain for the duration of the game. I look out the doors, and it is night. The school lights cast a yellow illumination on occasional patches of ground. Teachers are wandering around supervising the game, and making sure players don't cheat. It doesn't take long for the students to get bored with the game, remove the masks, and start finding things to do. I find myself outside with one of my friends. We talk about the game for a moment. A short while later, we are in a friend's basement, where a party is going on to celebrate the game being over. We hang out on the couches and discuss plans for starting our band.

This dream wasn't as vivid as mine usually are, most likely due to me being rather tired last night and unable to focus on LD'ing.

    2. The Emotive House

      Non-lucid

I am driving on back roads to a local skating rink. A group of my friends are already there, and we head out onto the ice. The surface of the rink is rough, with holes everywhere, and as I am not a strong skater, I fall often and decide to leave. My girlfriend and I are driving around the countryside, with the sun shining brightly. We pass several large houses, and finally get to my house. We head downstairs to my room, and as it has been a long day, decide to call it a night after saying goodnight to my parents. My desk is pressed up against the wall opposite the bed, and is covered in papers and other clutter. The room is bare, with little color. The bed has a faded blue duvet. We have sex before going to sleep.
The next morning I wake up in the house. My girlfriend is gone, and my dad is at home making pancakes for breakfast. I go outside through the back door into the morning sun to get a few chores done. The yard is beautiful, green grass and flowers shining bright in the sunlight, but not too warm. When I come inside for breakfast, my dad asks me where my girlfriend is. I reply that she has already gone home, although how she got there was a mystery. I walk downstairs and...
...it is as if the previous day was a memory, and I am visiting my old home after many years. It is abandoned and run down, and I walk through it fondly. I head into my old bedroom. The house is worn down beyond any imagining. In the bedroom the bed and duvet are as I left them, the desk is bare, and mold and bacteria create psychedelic patterns on the floor. I walk up to the bed and look around in dismay. After standing and thinking for a moment, I start to walk out, and my exit quickly grows faster as I see the mold and bacteria have actually moved towards me, and are close to touching my feet.

This dream involved intense emotions. The house on the first day, with the bright sun, left me feeling euphoric and contented. Later, fond nostalgia quickly turned into dismay, anxiety, and fear. It was extremely vivid, and semi-lucid. I did not become fully lucid, but there was a part of my mind that was aware reality was not as it usually is.

      Non-lucid, fragment

I am posting on here on DV . The detail of the conversation is incredible. Something wakes me up and the dream fades within a few seconds.

My dream recall has been low the past two days, so this is all I've got.

    4. Points Game

      Non-lucid, fragment, disturbing

I am at my home, in the yard outside. It is mid-afternoon, and the sun is shining. My parents are on their way home, and I am supposed to get as many 'points' as possible. I gain points by shooting things with a small pistol-like object. There are a few birds worth 250 points each, and three cats which are worth 200, 300, and 500 points. Being a cat lover, I am reluctant to do this. My parents arrive home, and I hide in the trees, because I have not gained any points yet. I lay down in the grass as they step out of the van to look for me. Two of the cats walk up to me, and I target them for a total of 500 points. My parents hear the sound and come looking for me. I try to hide deeper.

This is a very strange dream. I am generally not prone to nightmares or anything disturbing like this, but I have been sick lately, and perhaps that or the medicine I'm taking has altered my normal dreams slightly.
    5. Numbers

      Non-lucid, fragment

I am at a school playground-type area, with a bunch of my friends. We have to collect something, but I am not clear on what it is. I leap from one playground structure to another, slide down onto the dirt, and leap on top of the school building. At this point I have collected 23 of whatever it is we have to collect, and the next closest of my friends has collected 7. Confident of my win, I go inside the school. I enter a large empty room with grey carpet. There is a kid dressed up in foam battle gear and helmet with a foam mace and chain that is nearly the size of himself. Suddenly I have a giant foam shield, and we begin fighting. The battle ends 7-1, with myself on the winning end.
This dream is focused on numbers for some reason, and all I can recall is these bits and pieces, without any sort of transition between them. One of the strangest dreams I have had in a while.

    6. The Late Band

      Non-lucid, brief lucidity

I am at a bar with a friend of mine waiting for a band to play. They are scheduled to begin at 4:00pm, and it is now 6:00pm. I look at the table, and see it's glassy, bubbly surface, and a sudden thought strikes me: "I'm only 17....what am I doing in a bar?" and I become lucid. The background fades to black, and I am looking at the table and my hands on it as if through a filmy plastic. I attempt to stabilize the dream by focusing on my hands, and feeling the surface of the table, as well as reinforcing the fact in my mind that I am lucid dreaming. This meets with no success. I allow lucidity to slip away after getting frustrated. My friend and I wait longer, until at 8:00, with still no band, we decide to leave. On our way out the door, we run into another friend of mine, and decide to go get some supper. We are driving around the city choosing where to go when the dream ends.
I believe it is the ADA technique that I have been trying lately that brought on this lucid dream. At the moment of lucidity it was more like a daydream than a lucid dream - I was just as aware of my sleeping body as I was of my dream body. This would have been a good moment to try yelling 'Clarity now!', or something similar in order to bring myself more fully into the dream.

      Non-lucid, WBTB

*I am listening to an isochronic tone designed for WBTB - it has 20 minutes of silence to allow you to fall asleep before coming in with the tone.

I am inside my home, sitting at my computer. My cousin arrives for a visit in his truck (as he will actually be doing today) and I go outside to meet him. |From here the dream skips from afternoon to nighttime, or I am unable to recall the gap between them.| I go out for a walk with my cousin's horse, which is a pale white with large blue spots on it. We head out to the highway, and I believe this is where the iso tone I am listening to kicks in. The highway actually is my bed, and the pavement is my mattress. Despite this obvious hint that I am dreaming, I don't become lucid. The horse falls off to the side, lands on a second mattress, and shrinks to a minuscule size. Passersby are laughing at the fact that I am walking such a tiny animal. As it climbs back up, it grows even larger than before, and the ones who were laughing lose their arrogance and walk on by.
It is at this point the dream becomes more of a nightmare.
The horse is shot from somewhere, and I dive behind it for cover. I hear laughing from a hidden spot in the trees, and I am told I don't have to worry about being shot. I believe them, and get up and walk back home. When I arrive there, I go to my room and begin sorting out a pile of screws and nails I have in my closet. I then remember there were some in my bookshelf as well, and go check that pile. I see a spiderweb attached to this pile, and recoil. I look a bit closer, and realize that it is just a tiny spider, smaller than the eraser of a pencil. Then my eyes focus slightly behind it, and see one the size of my two fists put together. It shifts, and I run out of my bedroom. I poke my head around my bedroom door just in time to see it roll out of it's nest and drop to the floor with a sickening thud. Again, I withdraw in fear, this time informing my family of the situation. They assure me that we have no spiders that large, and I assure them that despite that, I saw one. I go back to confirm that it is there, and I peek my head around the corner again to see it leap from my bed to catch a fly and sit on the floor boastfully devouring it's victim. Later, I am sitting at the supper table with my family recounting the tale of the monstrous arachnid, and they are laughing at my fear, still not aware that I saw a spider like this.
The dream ends as I wake up.
What makes this dream interesting is that I think I can point to the moment where the isochronic tone kicked in, which would be when the highway was made out of my mattress. This was a huge hint towards the fact that I was dreaming, but I didn't quite pick up on it.

    8. Mansion Tag

      Non-lucid

I am in a large house with a structure that is strangely reminiscent of the interior of a large boat or yacht. It has wide open rooms with cozy furniture as would be seen in a house, but with doors and cramped hallways that would be more likely to be found in a boat. I am there with several friends. We are playing a game of tag, or hide and seek. If someone is tagged, they are out of the dream. This goes on for a while until there are only three of us left - myself, and my friends Adam and Stephanie. I am hiding so as not to be tagged, and even though I don't see it happen, I am aware that Adam was tagged and out of the dream. I then fly around the interior trying to avoid being tagged, when I figure out where Stephanie is going to be. Seeing as she is an easily surprised individual, I decide to play a little joke on her. I hide behind one of the boat-like, round metal hatchways, that for some reason connects the ceiling of one level to the floor of another, and fly through it as she walks nearby. She is startled, and we both laugh, and the game is over. The dream ends as I fly out of the house, which turned out to be a rather impressive mansion, and hover out onto the street next to several tall spruce trees. The most memorable moment of this dream was the exhilaration of flying without limitations.
