Ancient Memories

Non-lucid

I am at home on the computer when I hear something break through the kitchen window. I rush out to see what is going on and my parents inform me that a hunter was too close to our property and a stray bullet came into our house. I go out our back door, which now leads to a sea. I hop in a small plastic canoe and start rowing my way across the wind-whipped water. I see another canoe in the distance, and head towards it. In it is an old man with a hunting vest and hat. I ask him if he was the one that shot our house, and he says yes. When I inform him that he should take it farther away from our residence, he mutters about being able to do what he wants and rows away. Satisfied that the problem was dealt with, I fly up into the top window of a building. There, my girlfriend is helping bake brownies for a school event. Then she realizes that she will be late for the bus. We run out into the rain so she can catch it, and I wave goodbye as it drives away. I walk over to my car to head home myself.

The dramatic changes in setting should have been a good indicator that I was dreaming.
