Why were you trying to get to the beach?

I really don't know. I mean in RL, I'm not much of a beach guy but when I go, I have a blast. Dream wise however I've been constantly drawn to water reciently. Maybe the water represents my goals I want out of life. But there are people out there there that never want to see me reach them. I woke up with my teeth and fists clinched after this dream.

Could be. The water aspect seems to give you interesting dreams too... like shark girl was one. Water in general is linked to emotions and the subconscious but then again, dreaming in general is subconscious, heh.

The connection you made between trying to get someplace and then getting held back makes sense. I wonder if it would be helpful to suggest trying a different approach. I notice sometimes you respond with anger when people hold you back. Maybe there's a way to be above it... for example, instead of taking it personally which results in anger, you could assess their needs, acknowledge it doesn't align with yours and then move past them. I'm not explaining it well but there's a way to maneuver around difficult people. You accept their goals as valid for them and then proceed with your focus.

It's like a brush off but it allows you not to overly focus on them or the situation they're manifesting for themselves. And we both know dreams are easy to become fixated on something... and that anchors us to where we are.

Just tossing out ideas. I don't like seeing you held back.

You know what, I think you're right. There have been times when I chose a different approach to things like that in dreams and it worked out perfectly. On a side note, my mind was pretty busy before I went to sleep. Had a billion thoughts in my head. I went into SP once, but couldn't do anything with it. I'm also up 3 hours earlier than i should be. I think I'm going to have an awesome nap after school.

So yeah...today in waking life, I'm at J's house and D calls and talks to J. He thinks he's talking behind my back and tells J that I needed to delete my voice mail message because it's too crazy or whatever. My father, niece and brother have heard the message I have, and i'll admit it's a little out there. But com'on it's really poetic, and nothing to really be so adamant about. D is a cool guy.....but I think he hasn't made friend status with me in a long time ago. I really think he's just out there to hold me back no matter what he claimes he does.

Nice sync up between dreams and waking life. Too bad it was about someone judging you on how you choose to express yourself. At least you see that it could be seen as wild but really, it's none of his business what you do with your messages. Seems like you both just view things differently which explains why you don't consider him a friend.
