    Awesomeness's quest for lucidity

One step closer to lucid dreaming!

Real life Dream Lucid Dream Sign
For me to remember, dreams are 067300, lucid dreams are the color below blue, #4169e1, and dream signs are the light purple, which is up one and left one from blue, #483d8b.

    First or second dream...
After I had it, I woke up. (Sigh, didn't remember to RC.) I told myself what happened in it over and over because I didn't want to go and type it, and look at me now, completely forgotten it...

    Don't hurt the mermaid dream!
This dream was the most vivid I've had yet. I could clearly see all the textures on everything, the shining sun on the slime of the water creatures, my hand wasn't even blurry.
My family is buying a little beach condo. Other people are also buying this beach condo, though no one (including me) notice that this doesn't make sense. Somehow it'll just work, and the other family will be like our neighbors. The beach condo we're buying isn't even a beach condo– it's a bunch of porches of varying height connected by stairs with only a few walls, and no ceilings. By the way, the wood of the porch seemed very dark and old. It was a rich dark brown. Our family looked around, and looked at the beach, and we're all thinking and saying, "Wow!". Suddenly people in viking armor jumped out, but we weren't alarmed; the whole thing was a skit to show the heritage of the place. They had brown tall upside-down cpu-shaped helmets on and green armor that had a bump every three inches or so. They chased us around and we laughed.

Later, I walked down to the beach and saw all sorts of critters, large and small.
Looking back, this whole place I was at looked like an alien world. There were crabs of many colors and other beach creatures scattered along the coast. The coast a had a very, very shallow slope– 50 feet in and only a foot deep. I sat down and looked around. There was a river to the right. Among other creatures, there was a mermaid. The mermaid was the only thing in the whole I couldn't see very well. I could see her lower fish-like part, but the rest was blurry. I got up. I noticed a weird sensation in my hand. A crab was on my hand! I could see it all clearly– the crab was green and flat, many times wider than it was thick. It was squeezing on to my hand with all of it's legs, not just holding on with one claw. I pulled him of and looked around.

There was a guy, pointing a wooden crossbow on a wooden mount (the wood was the same as the beach house) at the sea. He had olive skin and black straight hair down to an inch below his ears. I asked him what he was doing and he replied that he was hunting mermaids. I asked him to stop but he wouldn't. We kept fighting until I said, "Wait a second... That's not a mermaid," pointing at the creature he was aiming at. "That's one of those things." It was a giant, 4 and a half foot tall fat slithering thing which was about 10 feet long. It was like color 3850 in this color chart (it's in the first column, a third of the way down) with black triangular spots every few feet. It was slimy like a slug and had little stubs for limbs. It had a very big mouth and beady black eyes. It could have easily eaten a person if it wanted to. Anyway, what the crossbow was pointing at was 2 of them, about 70 feet away. The mermaid hunter left the crossbow and stood just a little bit away from where the sand met water.

He started singing the learning tape of the Barbershop song "Bicycle Built for Two" in a weird mix of tenor and lead. I listened, and noted this. He had the same weird computer-y voice as the learning tape. Suddenly he started singing lower notes, which surprised me. I had a sudden thought in my head that something was wrong. The notes grew lower and dissonant and I realized nothing in this world made sense, and I wasn't sure why. I collapsed to the ground, and woke up in fear.

That was very weird. It wasn't meant to be a nightmare but I panicked when I realized something was wrong. The thing was it wasn't as scary as a real nightmare, as if my fear wasn't amplified by the dream.

Anyway, I'm glad I actually realized something was off in a dream, even if I didn't figure out it was because I was dreaming.

PS: Gosh, I spent over an hour writing this! If I remember multiple dreams each night this will take forever!
