Why it is (almost) impossible to prove astral projection is "real" by doing test

I've always wondered,if it was real, for example while AP-ing , if you said "I want to go to mars" ,and it was a cloudy night or you couldn't see mars, how could you go there without knowing which direction it is, unless there was some other source guiding you, that's why I think these locations you go to, are just made up in your mind. I wish I was wrong, but I don't think so. Anyone have an opinion on my logic ?

      Hi
Maybe it is because astral dimension is more complicated than physical. In physical you have three dimension plus time which is only partially here. In astral you have acording to some autors 5 dimensions... Then you have problems with your imagination. You see, astral dimension is quite sensitive to our mind. You can shroud your perception by imagination and make astral reality turn to lucid dream. At least I see that so. What is difficult is to be there without any thought. I'm looking for connections of physical world and OBE for more than 20 years and so far, I have only very little indication of it. It seems like I have problems with time dimension. Only once I saw what was happening in real time. I see mainly into future... in confirmed connection between astral and physical planes. Maybe in past too but that can be confused by memory. And I see sometimes parallel dimensions, things there are different from this reality(different personal history).

In the dream you don't know you are dreaming... you are in imagined world, but you are in astral. You only can't see through imagination...
In Lucid dream you know you are dreaming, the feeling is different from normal dream, but you are in imagined world, you don't see how astral looks like... If you are trying, maybe there is possibility see glimpses of astral reality...
In astral projection the feeling is very different from previous two states.

Now I'm little confused, I thought that OBE is describing leaving our body, and it is not important whether you are going to walk astral plane, or mental, or budhic... or higher. In all of experiences we can feel leaving our body. Only feeling of planes is different. Each has need of its own "mindset" And not to be in it leads to wery short stay in that plane. The higher dimension the higher demand on concentration and ballance of mind.

One of the best reads ,was a 62 page PDF by frank Kepple who says that you aren't leaving your body at all , but rather "phasing" is just switching from one reality to another, from this physical to the astral plane. I wonder if people who say they see them selves leaving there body, etc, have just switched into the astral, then just created this cinerio of them leaving there body ,because that's what they expect to see. If they thought of themselves leaving a pink elephant in bed, that's what they would see? As for reading physical cards in the astral, I don't think it's possible, you can create your house etc, but how do you create a playing card that you' ve never seen? I could be wrong though, this is just my theory.i would like your advise on something though. I've had maybe 4or 5 lucid dreams, that's it. The only think close to a AP ,was, I was sitting in my couch listening to BBeats, when I woke up, I could see through my closed eyes, that's it! I panicked and went physical immediately. To be honest, when I read about everyone's AP adventures, I feel like crying, I've been trying for four years now and the eye thing was all ive had. Could you , or anyone else, run down your AP procedures, time of day etc. I'm really beginnining to believe, I'm just one of those who can't do it , for whatever reason.
