This is my first official dream in my dream journal. My dream recall isn't exactly strong, so I plan on focusing on strengthening my recall in the next couple weeks.

12/18/20 - Snowy Fortress

My dream began when I was in an area that I identified as Antarctica. I wasn't within my own body, but watching myself as though from overhead. I also recall that the dream was similar to a video game. I recognized a couple themes: Metroid, a bit of Borderlands, and an espionage-like feel.

The dream started with a character I identified as a girl named Sam. She had really long blonde hair and was wearing a blue jumpsuit (thus Metroid). She, two other individuals that I never saw, and I broke our way out of a prison / base. I think it might of been from Inception. Sam knew where we were and what we were supposed to be doing, but I decided to go off on my own (despite disagreement from the heads-up display).

I broke off from the three others and jumped off the cliff nearby. Sam was extremely displeased and voiced this through the radio to me. I realized that I had to do some sort of collection quest in order to return to the group. I looked to my right and found a Jeep and got in it. I drove through the snow and reached a kind of valley. I found and ran over both a goblin and a bunch of rocks that were housing some creatures, and then I got out and picked up something from the ground. I know it was supposed to complete my quest, but I can't remember what it was.

I left the canyon and then began driving alongside the cliffs. I remember the terrain was jagged along the cliffs, and that there were plateaus right up against them. I started to follow them and then I woke up to my alarm.
