    1. Racist Cats & Crepes

      by , 04-14-2013 at 01:47 PM
It's been a while since I've updated this (over a year), and I've just recently gotten back into lucid dreaming, so it's as good a time to write an entry as any.

I'm in a house, when I realize I'm dreaming and run outside. I'm in some sort of a town at sunset, and it's very beautiful, and so my first instinct is to leap up and try to fly. It doesn't work very well the first time, so I try again and get a little higher, and by the third time, I'm jumping higher than some of the buildings. The whole thing is very vivid, and I hang in the air for a little while, extremely happy. There's some sort of clock tower-like building near me, and I turn around upon seeing it and notice a large, scenic-looking lavender mountain wreathed in mist. I don't know why, but my first thought is that there must be cats on that mountain. I become determined to climb it.

The dream skips a bit, and I'm back at the house. It's still sunset, so not much time must have passed. I lose most of my lucidity at this point, or at least I'm not acting on it, but I still remember the mountain, and conveniently, the house is right next to it. The backyard of the house leads into a patch of sparse woods, which leads to the base of the mountain. I look over at the mountain, and, confirming my suspicions, notice multiple all-white cats crawling on it. Now even more set on climbing it, I begin plotting to do so, but I am first stopped by my family's former housekeeper in real life, Tricia (who, sadly, passed away from heart complications almost exactly a year ago), who tells me I need to eat dinner. She tosses a crepe into a pan next to another crepe that's almost done, and I wait a few seconds, and for some reason, I take the less-done crepe and start walking around, looking for something to fill it with. I remember thinking that I would be willing to eat it plain if it got me to the mountain faster, but I know that Tricia is going to make me fill it with something. I forget exactly what I filled it with, but I do remember sticking a large hunk of chicken in it. Immediately, I run outside, and begin climbing the mountain, but it has become a banister with a cellphone at the bottom.

There was also one point in the dream where I was slipping on the outside of a hockey rink, not on the actual ice, and I was embarrassed.

    2. Grim Reaper things, breaking walls with one finger (LUCID)

      by , 10-29-2011 at 02:08 PM
I was at a camp called McKeever, and we were going into the dining hall. Something prompted me to do an RC, and I did, disbelieving that I was dreaming, but I thought my nose was open the first time. Then it did work, and I ran inside the dining hall and attempted to put myself through a wall. It didn’t work. I tried to put my finger through the wall, and it broke it (not my finger). The McKeever staff got mad because of this, and they sent out people to kill us. I almost woke up here, but I rubbed my hands together and didn’t. Us and some other teacher ran up a trail, but she saw the evil people there and ran us up another, but they were there, too. So she muttered something and said for us to go off in different directions. I was scared, because there were hooded evil people everywhere. So I ran up to one and yelled, “You’re not real!” The thing seemed unfazed. I repeated it, and had the same unpleasing result. Finally, I pointed at it and screamed, “Your hand is… broken!” The thing hung its head and began to cry.

    3. Bugs, cornflakes, and other miscellaneous stuff.

      My dream:
I was eating cornflakes standing up. I kept seeing bugs, like large moths, in it. End of story.

    4. Real California oranges, diving out windows, and trespassing (Lucid)

      by , 10-25-2011 at 01:05 PM
      Well now, another lucid.

      Oct. 25, 2011
I was following the dream plot for a while. I was on a school trip with some random people, and some others were trying to kill us. I don't remember much of that bit, except the place we were staying was all brown, and I wanted to wake up at one point. But then, I decided to take control of my dream, since I was, after all, lucid. I dove out a window headfirst and floated/glided to the ground, where I tumbled around and emerged muddy. I laughed, got up, and rubbed my hands together. They felt amazingly realistic- dusty and smooth. I marveled at how real everything looked. I was in someone’s garden. Then I leapt up and floated for another moment, and came upon a street sign leading into a brambly path saying “East End Avenue.” So I went in and ran, trying to bend air as I went and failing-ish. I followed the path all the way behind someone’s house, and they saw me. I tried to casually walk back, and they walked past me, and I said “Sorry about that, I was just-“ to a teenage boy, but he ignored me. Someone (there was a basketball court near their house) then commented, “I wish it wasn’t raining,” because it was drizzling, so I yelled, “Make it stop raining!” Unfortunately, it began pouring. I giggled and saw a bush with oranges that were slightly green, and I yelled, “Look! Real California oranges!” even though I wasn’t in California. Then I woke up.

    5. Chicken Smoothie, laptops supporting external accounts, and matrices.

      by , 10-22-2011 at 05:33 PM
      Oct. 22, 2011-
I was on a virtual pet site called Chicken Smoothie (it's real) with my friend Abby, and we were looking at possible Halloween adoptables on my desktop computer. One of them was something from an anime Abby liked. It was basically a matrix of pink squares with mold-like stuff on them. Under it, it said that you could grow a house and pets on it. Then Abby went over to my sister’s laptop, which was on a desk and connected to a monitor, and turned it on. I told her she wouldn’t be able to log in, but she did, and there was a Word document on it where she was frantically typing something in.
Then I woke up and realized that laptops are not connected to monitors.

    6. Libraries...

      Oct. 21, 2011-
      Dream 1-
I was in the library with a bunch of kids. There had been a sign outside that has said something like, “If you don’t want to read, feel free to take a nap instead.” One of the librarians decided to show me and the kids the children’s rooms, which had beds and a bunch of stuffed animals in them. I forget one, but the other had some stuffed animals sitting in a circle, one of which I had a sentimental relationship with, and it was holding a small doll with numbers (two and three?) on it. I think it was the doll I had the sentimental relationship with, and I kept trying to hug it. Then, the librarian asked me if I wanted to see my room, and I said yes. One of the kids asked how come I got to have my own room in the library, and I thought but didn’t say that it was because my mom helped build it. My room was painted dark blue, with “I believe in magic” and some magic-related thing painted below it. It had a bunch of trees with shiny glowing yellow lights, like fireflies, on the wall. Abby then saw something and said, “we should save the spiders!” Turns out the spiders were two actual spiders coming out from a tree. I have no idea how this was possible, as the trees were painted on a wall.

      Dream 2-
I was back in time, in my fifth grade class. Kids were cutting giant pieces of cardboard. My teacher was saying that once we were ready for class to start to raise our hands, which a lot of kids didn’t. I did, though. Then I saw a girl from my current school sitting next to me, and I hugged her and asked why she was here. She said she was only visiting.

      Dream 3-
This dream was back in the library. Maybe it was a continuation of Dream 1. But anyway, this evil person had something called “InstaFreeze,” and would spray it on someone to freeze them. It looked like a computer game when she did so. There were a bunch of light blue squares in a grid, then lines went through them and crystals began to appear. As the person froze, yellow sparks would appear on the crystals, which caused me intense empathetic pain. I tried to close my eyes, but they were still there. Then she froze me, and I saw the same thing, but it didn’t hurt at all.

      Dream 4-
My mom pulled into a parking lot and left me and my autistic sister there in the car as she went to get something. The parking lot attendant was in charge of us. Mom had been teaching my sister and I to write (we were both really young) and the attendant asked to see what we were writing. I showed her mine and my sister’s and she asked to play with us. We played, and I didn’t tell her my sister was autistic because Mom told me not to.
    7. I think this is my fifteenth lucid dream?

      by , 05-26-2011 at 01:33 PM
I was walking through a house with two other people I am acquainted to. I forget how exactly I became lucid, I was just lucid. And it took me a while to figure out that this was someone else's house. The people who owned it came in the house, and I ran to hide. I went into their basement and heard them following, so I went out the first door I saw. Then, some parts are kind of unclear, but I ended up in their kitchen with them behind me. There was a door there (two, in fact), but they were about two inches on all sides and in the middle of the wall. I turned around, found another door, and bolted out. I was in an alley. Now alone, I decided to fly. I leapt and floated back down. I leapt again and landed on three telephone wires. I climbed onto something (a platform, I guess) and suddenly, the dream switched settings, into the entryway of a house. I wanted to levitate, but suddenly, gravity seemed to shift and I was being pulled forward. The dream melted away from there.

    8. Sims 3 dream

      by , 05-15-2011 at 02:24 PM
I'm obsessed with Sims 3 lately, so that might explain the dream.

I was playing the Sims 3 on DS. I was playing one of my real-life game slots, with the same two characters and house. Then, suddenly, I had the opportunity to make a new character. I was very happy, because you can only have two people in the house, and I was about to make a third. I made her, naming her something that started with an "A" (I forget), and she turned out to be pretty, as I remember it. She had short, dark brown hair and was tall and skinny, with stern but kind of mousey features. I'm not sure if she had a hat or not. When I began playing the game again, I saw some guy with blond dreadlocks and some king of blue decoration in his hair on my character thingy, and I deleted him, but I remember wanting to make a boyfriend for the mousey-stern girl. The last thing I recall is the mousey-stern person sitting on the bed next to one of my real-life characters, and me wanting to give her boyfriend red hair.

    9. 13th lucid dream. Maybe the unlucky number explains why my nose RC didn't work at first.

      by , 05-10-2011 at 09:15 PM
I was in my bathroom, when, out of the blue, I decided to do a nose RC. I thought I wasn't dreaming at the time (it was a very vivid dream). So when I tried my nose RC and it came out negatively, I was even more convinced. However, I'm kind of OCD about reality checks, and anyway, I seemed to recall that little breath had actually been produced. So I tried again, and it came out positively! I walked out into the hall and briefly saw my hall window, wondering if I should jump out and try to fly. I decided against it and stood at the top of the stairs. The dream was becoming hazy, so I rubbed my hands together. No effect. I said, "stabilize," and there was still no effect. I then continued my hand-rubbing and, after the word "stabilize" coming out weirdly and me trying again, it finally cleared up. My dream kind of skipped over going down the stairs, but then I walked out the door, onto the front porch. There were about five kittens playing there. One was a calico tortie, and another was black. I remember petting their fur, and it feeling not soft, but dry, kind of. Then I remember a tornado of water with a shrunken head on it, and me controlling it somehow.
After this I only remember snippets. I was somewhere dark, and I wanted it to be light, but then I realized that light switches don't work in dreams. And I remember closing my eyes and opening them somewhere else.

    10. Long, freaky, detailed, non-lucid nightmare

      by , 05-08-2011 at 03:38 PM
I was in a castle where this person was breeding zebrafish. She began telling us (there was a group of us listening to her) that the last time she tried, "a horrible loch ness monster type of thing was born," quoted by her. At this point, the dream flashed to a movie-like close-up of a flashback of the monster as a baby. One of its eyes was closed, and it opened it to reveal a cat-like violet eye. It was kind of a mixture of a sea monster and a dragon. More like a dragon, actually, but it didn't have wings. It had a fierce look to it. Then, the close-up disappeared and it went back to normal. She said, "The only way to kill one of these terrible things is if it is young enough to not be green. If it is green, it is an adult and becomes immortal. If you do manage to capture one when it is young, throw it on a hard surface to kill it."
Then the egg of the zebrafish began to crack (yes, the egg cracked like a chicken's) and she told us to go outside. There was a lake outside, and a wide, open field that led to a street. So, it looked like a mansion, I suppose. We just sat down and waited, until finally the zebrafish woman came out. But no one really did anything, just sat. Then, I saw something peek out of the lake that looked kind of like an arm with another arm branching off of it. I knew immediately that it was the monster that had just been born. I screamed, "Oh! Someone look! HELP!" No one looked. The arm left, and then I saw a green, slimy back slide through the water. "LOOK!" I cried.
They looked, and I realized that now we couldn't kill it, because it was green. Everyone screamed and scrambled up, and we ran. I was running with this curly-haired boy, down the street. We heard a roar and a huge footstep in the distance behind us, but we didn't look. We just ran. The street we were on was very suburban-looking, with no cars and only a bit of sidewalk. But we were on the street itself, not the sidewalk. We turned a corner, and another (we were still going downhill), when we saw a park. It had a playground and a baseball field, so we decided to stop there. Everyone else from the group was there, playing football. It never once occurred to me that it was odd to be playing football when a giant monster was after us. Then, a TV appeared out of the blue in front of us. It showed a news channel, with a reporter telling about the monster and showing clips of it.
The first clip showed it chomping down on an empty van laying on its side, and pulling it up so it rolled on its own. It began following the van. Then something clicked in my head.
The van was being pulled along by gravity. So if it was rolling on its own, it was only going downhill.
And the monster was following it. And we had only gone downhill.
I screamed, and the curly-haired boy must have realized it too, because he grabbed my wrist and started running towards a building. He let go of my hand and motioned for me to go up first. I began running up the stairs of the building, which seemed completely empty except for the long, winding staircase. I kept running, when the stairs stopped, leading to a floor and a tiny room with no door. There were more stairs on another part of the room, so really it was more of a "rest" when you are going from floor to floor. I skidded to a halt when I realized there was no wall on the "room" on one section. Actually, it was more like a huge, open bay window. Had I kept running, I would have zoomed out and fallen a long way into the street below. I made the mistake of looking down at the cars below, and I swallowed and struggled to keep my balance. I ran up the other stairs, but then I gasped with horror and stopped.
      It was a dead end.

I woke up, but it didn't fully register that I was out of the dream for a few minutes. I wonder what would have happened if the dream had continued. Would the monster have come? Maybe. My nightmares almost always have a bad ending, so the monster probably would have suddenly decided to look in the building. Or something.

    11. Humorous lucid dream!

      by , 05-07-2011 at 01:29 AM
I was in my school girl's bathroom in a stall in the dream, and I was looking into the bathroom. Not into another stall, I'm not... yeah. So I saw my male Social Studies teacher washing his hands, and I said, "Um, excuse me, but this is the girls' bathroom." He smiled creepily and said, "I know." At this point I became lucid. I decided to teleport, since a bathroom wasn't the greatest place to lucid dream. So I closed my eyes and opened them, and I was in a dark house. It was silent, so it was probably night. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, and I scrambled to hide. Too late. A man speaking German was walking down the stairs wearing a suit and tie. He spotted me and began walking towards me. Nervous and afraid this would turn into a lucid nightmare, I said, "You're not real." He stopped dead, shrugged, and sat down in a rocking chair. That was easy, I thought. i decided to shape-shift, so I used a method I read on the forum somewhere and started acting like I was a cat. I shimmied around on my hands and knees, meowing and batting at the German guy's shiny black shoes. I heard his family coming down the stairs, and when they saw me, they began to stare oddly at me and murmur to each other in German. I must have been quite a sight.
      I woke up laughing.

    12. Lucid dream, but forget most of it.

      by , 05-05-2011 at 11:43 PM
I used my technique, CMILD (see Induction Techniques), again tonight. I distinctly remember becoming lucid; I just forget what happened. Well, most of it. I remember going to sleep repeating my mantra, then falling into a dream and thinking, "I'm lucid. Now what should I do?"

    13. Amazing!!!

      by , 05-03-2011 at 10:25 PM
I tried a technique I made up that I have dubbed "CMILD." WOW does it work!!!!
It stands for Conscious Mantra Induced Lucid Dream. It's similar to MILD. What you do is, about an hour before you go to sleep, start saying in your head, "When I become conscious next, I will do a reality check." Repeat it as you fall asleep, and do some RCs.
I had 2 dreams resulting from it, and one accidental VILD/WILD.
      The dreams resulting from it:

      1. As I entered the dream, I remembered the mantra and realized I was dreaming. I walked along the city street I was on and began to fly. I flew easily. I tried to find my DG by screaming, "Dream Guide, appear!" A street sign with stubby legs appeared. Hopefully it wasn't my DG. I then woke up.

      2. A great lucid dream. I was flying over a park. I have no idea how long I flew, but it was a wonderful experience.

Here is the VILD I had:

I was in my bed in real life. I had just woken up, and it was 6am. I began to drift asleep, and suddenly a picture of my room appeared in front of me. I held on to it, and for a moment it became astonishingly vivid! I tried to keep it. Then, I felt an intense tingling and I fell into a dream.
I sat up in bed in the dream and went to the window. There were two boys looking up at me, who were maybe fifteen. One was waving cheerily (my DG?), the others were wielding snowballs. They began throwing them at me. I leapt out the window and floated down, dodging the snowballs. I arrived at a sidewalk, panting. I began to walk, and eventually came to a place that looked like a yard sale. I suddenly began losing the dream, and I began rubbing my hands together and yelling, "Stabilize!" It came back, and suddenly two men began walking towards me. My dad appeared out of nowhere and grabbed my hand, dragging me to a lake. The men disappeared, and I dragged my finger in the lake. The water felt so REAL! My dad began swishing his hand through the water, and suddenly I knew there was a sea monster in there. I yelled, "GET OUT!" He did. Then, my alarm went off.

    14. Wow, many dreams, none lucid.

      by , 04-30-2011 at 02:08 PM
Dream 1: I was being shot at by a robot as some kind of test. I kept running and managed to avoid the bullets, but they kept shooting. I tried to send someone a message via my watch, but it didn't work. This dream was longer than that; the part where I tried to avoid the bullets just took a long time.

Dream 2: I found an Ipod Touch in my pocket, but it didn't work.

Dream 3: I went to the year 2046 and tried to endorse my dad's book, for some reason. I did this by asking if they had ever heard of his book. Most didn't answer. Then I asked people if they knew what Harry Potter was (???). No one di

    15. FAIL lucid dream.

      by , 04-29-2011 at 09:25 PM
      This is it:

I was on a swing set, when I realized I was dreaming. I decided to jump off and try to fly. I jumped off, and nothing happened. At this point, I thought something along the lines of; "Darn, now I can't be lucid. I failed the test."
Later in the dream, I was playing a computer game where there was water that was supposed to be blue, but it was orange. Since I was dreaming, I tried to control the dream and make it blue. It didn't work.

      FAIL.
