      ---

I'm relaxing in my living room with several of my friends. I've moved out of my old place and into a new one with four other guy friends of mine. One is very close to me, the other two are almost strangers. The place seemed to be getting very dirty and no one wanted to help clean it up. One of my roommates in particular got fed up and sent a message out to the rest of us that we needed to clean the place up. No one seemed to care.

It was then announced we'd be having a party that night. I looked around in contempt and the mess that had accumulated over just a few weeks and how much worse it was going to look after a party. I decide to go take a shower to relieve myself of the stress. The shower room was low and tight, just like the living room, and each corner of the walls had a bright light (so there was no where comfortable to stare). I remember thinking how much I missed my old house.

    2. Sippin' on Gin and Juice

      ---

I'm walking through a big, vacant parking lot with a friend of mine. I pass by my cousin and uncle driving through and wave, but they didn't see me. I'm not sure if they didn't see me or were just ignoring me. We arrived at our destination, a video game store, and when we walked in the place was crowded.

There was a sale going on. I remember noticing a Super Nintendo bundle being sold which came with several games I remember being awesome (including Yoshi's Island). I look to my left and the person standing next to me was the one and only Snoop Dogg.

I look at him and he seemed to realize I wanted to shake his hand so he extended it. I shook his hand and started chatting with him. In an effort to entertain, I went over the a record player in the front of the store and put on the Slits. I wasn't sure if anyone was going to like it, but I remember it sounding pretty good.

I walked back over to Snoop Dogg and he was bobbing his head and asked if it was the Slits. I told him it was and asked him how he knows them and if he's a fan. I responded that he has two friends who likes them a lot. I felt like we were becoming friends.

    3. Family Vacation

      ---

My family and I are driving on the highway. I'm behind the wheel, and the car is pack with out things and I have a push broom to the left of me. Nothing too unusual is happening, until I attempt to pull of. I decide now would be a good time to pass the push broom to my brother to get it out of my way. As he grabs it, the broom hits the steering wheel and jolts us off the curve. The car flips sideways but everyone is fine. We get out to assess the damage to find that the kayaks have fallen off and into the lake in the center of the curve. We look at each other and decide this to be the first stop on our family vacation.

    4. Back to School

      ---

I'm at my elementary/middle school again, though I recognize it as my old high school in the dream. At first, I'm meeting a handful of my current friends there. I ride up on my bike and see none of them have arrived. I feel the stares of several past classmates, reluctant to start a conversation with someone they were never really friends with in high school. I wait patiently as I notice a few of my crew walking up.

I turn around to notice several of my friends already present, waiting at a table for me. We chat for a while and then go on our way. As I'm walking around the campus, things seem normal though I feel as though I haven't been there in a while. I'm here to take a class I missed during my real high school years, as is everyone else. The only people walking around are people I know from the past.

I walk up to a new building. An auditorium with several people I recognize walking in. I assume this is the place I'm supposed to be and follow them in. As I sit down, I realize I'm wearing a dress, though I'm not ashamed of it. It's normal. A present friend of mine turns around and lets out a light chuckle as if I'm not ready for what we're going to be doing in class. I hear the professor welcome everyone to Singing class, and that everyone must perform before they leave.

    5. Bad Roommate

      by , 11-13-2011 at 09:22 PM
      ---

I wake up to find my roommate and his girlfriend in the living room of our house watching a television show and making food. The house is much messier than I left it that night. I look around and assess the damage. My roommate walks outside and downstairs. I hear the clattering of men at work in our back yard. I look out and the place is a mess, but it's always been messy.

His girlfriend looks at my guiltily and I scowl at her. She asks if there is something on my mind. I hesitate for a moment, then small my hands down on the tabletop and begin to vent. "Did you see how nice this place was when you came in? I hate making a big deal about it, but I can't just not say anything. Couldn't you have at least brought your plates to the sink?"

My roommate walks in. They both stand next to each other and look at each other. His girlfriend says "Well, it looks like you made a little mess of this organ.." To I respond very defensively "We stuffed that towel in there so the cat wouldn't crawl in there." The strangest part about this dream was the consistency of the events. Even the dirty plates were in the same place. The only discrepancy is the timeline in which it all occurred. I walked in to the same messy house and then cleaned. Hope this isn't a pre-cognitive dream!

    6. Neon Stickers

      by , 11-08-2011 at 06:42 PM
      ---

I'd just gotten a job at Best Buy. Like anyone on their first day of work, I walked around aimlessly not knowing what to expect, awaiting my orders. I ran into my friend, who was in line at a restock station with a cart to do the transporting. Seeming easy enough, I grabbed a cart too, but ended up in the wrong line, where people were waiting to return items. I had to be told this by a customer. When I get up to the employee giving away the items to be restocked, he looks at me and makes a comment on my appearance, how I'm the scraggliest looking employee he's ever seen. I apologize that its my first day and that tomorrow I'll be more presentable. He nods me off, and tells me he'll make my job easier and places two neon yellow stickers in the basket and sends me on my way.

Not knowing what to do, I ask several employees. Each of whom laugh at me, as if to say "How could anyone be so dumb?" A girl walks up to me, young, beautiful, and my coworker, and tells me she'll show me what to do with them. She walks off into an open and outdoor area and explodes. The smoke from the explosion forms a dragon-like figure, fading shortly after.

I'm now off work, but still in possession of the stickers. I'm at my friend's house and my girlfriend is there with him. I look at her puzzled and she informs me that she'll been cheating on me for quite some time with my friend. They mention how they'd thought it was obvious. Furious at my own ignorance and the betrayal of my friend and girlfriend, I begin to swing on my friend. He jumps into stance but it is no match for my blind rage. I get several good hits on him before I pick him up and slam him head first into the pavement, where he lays lifeless for a moment before motioning his defeat.

My girlfriend, after seeing my passion for her, decides she wants me back. She's says everything she can think of to win my affection back, but it's no use. I pick her up, throw her in the pool, and leave. As I walk down the street downtown, I notice there is a concert event happening. I stop in and notice my friend standing there admiring the band. We share a cigarette.

    7. Dream Fragment: Mojo

      by , 11-07-2011 at 06:58 PM
      ---

The first thing I remember about this dream is that there is more too it than I remember, so let's jump right into it. I'm walking toward a crowd of people with many familiar faces. People are sectioned off into a group, almost like a dinner party. I notice an already full group of my friends shrugging at me, but I'm not discouraged because I turn my head to see a group of my best friends, along with two employees from the local record store, with an open spot.

Settling in, I realize there are several bands scheduled to play that I'd known in my youth, but never payed much attention to. For that, I'm somewhat excited. My group and I briefly discuss a game plan for the afternoon as if there is some task for us to complete by the end of it. A pop-punk band starts playing, and I'm reluctant to enjoy it because of what the record store employees might think.

Small portions of groups start to break off and walk towards the back of the room. Breakfast is being served, so I decide to jump in line with a couple of my friends until we realize how long it's going to take and that it'd be less troublesome to just wait for the line to die down. It's all very vague after this point, but I remember there being some dialogue during and after this fragment.

    8. A Vision of the Past

      by , 11-01-2011 at 09:19 PM
      ---

My mother, father, and a very young me exit from the main doors at the mall. Judging by the fact that my other brothers are absent and I'm so young, I can conclude that this dream is a vision of the past. It's dark outside and ambient lighting reflects off little pools of water left by a recent rainfall. I can hear the sound of tires tearing through them as I watch my past self and parents detach themselves from the rest of the crowd.

Suddenly, without any warning, little me bolts from the side of my parents on roller skates. I'm going very fast and seemingly in control of my balance, but oblivious to the danger that I face in the busy parking lot. Immediately my mother takes off after me, hysterical that I may be hit by a car. Instinctively I follow after her, also on roller skates, to help her catch my young self. After several minutes of extremely close (and what felt like life-threatening) swerves and skids, she finally caught up to me. Around the same time, I went to grab myself but realized I was something of a ghost and my hands went right through me.

My roller skates were off now, and my mom was still hysterical. It seemed she blamed herself for me wanting to run away, she left me (now safe) with a bottle cap in my hands and an empty beer bottle in hers. She wandered in circles mumbling to herself and ended the conversation with a shattering of the bottle she had in her hand. Throwing it so high, I had to strain my neck to see the peak of the arch it made.

Watching this made me overwhelmingly sad and I blamed myself. I awoke and the sadness lingered. I felt for a second that this may have actually happened, but I don't remember it fully because I was so young. I think I'm going to call my mom an tell her I love her : )

    9. Race to the Finish

      by , 10-25-2011 at 06:28 PM
      ---

I find myself outside a tall building, at its highest point obscured by the clouds above. My several companions and I walk towards the entrance confidently, but cautiously. As we get right outside the door, a piece of the building itself speaks to us in the voice of an old bitter woman and cackles.

"You'd better hurry, I'm coming for you!" She is the voice of the lava the building is sitting on! We rush in and realize the floor is bubbling and the room is filled with several tiers of yellow blocks. Immediately, my team and I start jumping around the room to search for the item we were sent there to retrieve. Somebody shouts they've found it, but lets it slip from her hands and fall to the bottom of the room. I instinctively dive for it, snag it, and continue my way up to the top of the building. It is a small, 8-bit Mario shaped eraser.

The room is now erupting from all corners with pillars of fires and I'm struggling more and more the climb the now "artificial rock-climbing" face of the walls. I finally get the level I need to be, where I meet eyes with another member of my team blocking my path to the right. Time freezes for a minute or so, though we're both still thinking clearly. Once things start moving again, I use all the strength I have left to climb over to the goal. I pull the eraser out of my pocket and place it in a small indent. It transforms into a a Princess Peach eraser.

All the danger subsides and glide to the bottom of the tower. My team is there to greet me, I we walk out together feeling like winners.

I'm laying on my side beside a few friends and a television set. Next to the television there are several cases of nitrous oxide that seem to appear almost out of thin air. I grab one and so does my friend, pull the trigger, and inhale. We lock eyes. She's follows my every action. I now notice the dimness of my setting as I set the canister beside me and the gas leaks from its nozzle: a bland looking apartment building living room. There is a sense of bleak hopelessness, but not overwhelmingly and it's definitely comes with a drag of content. I warn my companions not to smoke or light a match while the gas is fogging the vision between us.

Suddenly, I get that feeling you get when your tooth is about to get pulled. Sure the giddy lightheadedness from the nitrous, but more so the overwhelming feeling of being strapped to a chair. There is a detached chattering in the back of my head. I realize I'm dreaming, only I'm still stuck. I realize after a moment of struggling that I'm stuck in a transitional state between waking and sleeping. The chatter is the sound of my professor's voice pulsating through my bedroom. I wake up, realizing what a failed attempt this was at laying in bed and still trying to pay attention to my online class.

    11. Black Hawk Down

      by , 03-04-2011 at 06:57 PM
      ---

I'm dropping my girlfriend off at home before she and her family go on a long vacation. They are all in their rooms when we arrive and I let her know I don't want to stay around for dinner, though I normally do, because I'd feel like I was overstaying my welcome. Instead, I eat a few slices of grilled chicken real quick and stuff some steak into the front pocket of my shirt.

Her mother walks out from her room. Instead of her normal self, she is Fran Drescher. And though my girlfriend is still with me, I feel very awkward when her mother begins to start conversation with me and ask me about my day. Her mother laughs under her breath at my lack of social skills, but passes it off as though nothing happened. I take my girlfriend out to the car to say goodbye to her officially, but she wants me to test out the helicopters with her they'll be taking on their trip.

I agree and jump into the back of one of the two helicopters now in the middle of their house. Her mother, who is now back to her regular self, lifts the helicopter from the ground. She has clearly never done it before and I remember being worried she was going to crash it. I informed her how the controls worked so that I would feel a bit safer. She seems to get the hang of it very quickly. I told her you can pull up as fast as you want, but you have to gently lower it to keep it from slamming into the ground.

My girlfriend wanted a turn, so her mother handed the controls over to her. She was very forceful with them to the point that I had to tell her to take it easy. She pulled up as hard as she could and when she was lowering it, slipped. The helicopter crashed into the water. Everything turned dark blue and I couldn't see the inside of the helicopter, much less which way was up. She made it out fine, when relieved me. I then took my time unbuckling my seat belt, the entire time wondering if this was really happening. Upon getting it undone and exiting the sinking helicopter, I decided it wasn't and woke up.

    12. Reign of Fire

      by , 02-26-2011 at 08:28 AM
      ---

The city is crowded and my friends in eye are walking in no particular direction. I look into the sky and notice a symbol I mistakenly recognize as a red superman symbol being projected by means of a spotlight. Upon pointing my finger to show my friends, I realize it is actually a goat's head in the shape of an inverted pentagram. My heart sinks. I recall there being some sort of prophecy of the night changing to day and the world ending. At that moment, I see I bright red ring in the distance. The night turns to day and I notice the ring is surrounding an Eiffel Tower-like building. It explodes and collapses.

The entire city is in panic and everyone is running in different directions. My friends and I make off in the same direction until bombs start dropping. It is now a frantic effort to stay alive. I start leaping what feels like ten feet at a time, at one point being propelled by an explosion beneath my feet. Eventually, I make it to what I decide to be a safe location. A parking garage built underneath a large office building. I'm with a close friend of mine, Chris. We have a view of the large reddish nebula-like phenomenon, I think it to be some sort of portal, which has now taken the place of the Eiffel Tower-like structure.

We're relieve and rest in this location, intently staring at the portal. I decide to call my parents and inform them of my dire situation, say my goodbye, and tell them I love them one last time. As I start to fiddle with my phone, a group of three red and black dragons emerge from the portal. Again, my heart sinks... To our horror, the dragon flies and lands right in front of us. We run for our lives up the stairs of the parking garage, being followed closely by the dragon. We get to an upper level, where we split ways and run to different stair exits in an attempt to shake the dragon. I jump down each flight of stairs as quickly as possible. The dragon is coming after me. Once I'm at the lowest level, I sprint to the elevator and smash the close door button until it finally closes. Just in time! I can feel the dragon blowing fire up the elevator shaft, heating up the elevator I'm now trapped in.

Right before it's almost too hot to bear, the elevator stops right before the floor I'd intended to get off at. I press the open door upon and see that I've stopped a few feet too short and pull myself up the rest of the way and climb out. I'm now in an large, open office-like room with a surprisingly amount of calm, collective people. I observe my surroundings for a few minutes until my comrade emerges the elevator shaft. I'm surprised, but ecstatic to see him. We feel as though we've escaped the dragon for the time being, but that he'll be back. I take this time to try to send a text message to my parents, but I cannot get it to work no matter how hard I try. It's extremely disheartening.

My friend and I decide it would be a safe time to go explore our area. We exit the building to our left and enter a park filled with benches and trees. We wander for quite some time and meet up with another friend of ours, Chris C., until we notice a dragon emerging from the portal once again. We make a run for the building we came from to shelter ourselves and hopefully not stick out as targets.

I notice a few men investigating the elevator shaft I came out of, which now resembles my car's trunk. It has all the things I'd normally have in my trunk: some tools, a skateboard, a deflated volleyball, and a case full of Magic: The Gathering cards (which wouldn't normally be there). The men want to by them, but I tell them to wait for my friend, who they belong to, and to come back later. They argue they aren't well enough protect as the box they're in cannot lock, but I show them I can shut the trunk and lock the doors to my car. Problem solved.

At this point the dragon has arrived again and I still haven't sent my text message, although I've been trying this entire time. We all run out in the direction of the park. We leap in different directions in an attempt to avoid the dragon and the flames its spewing. I realize now, that instead of killing people, the fire transforms people into non-aggressive goblin looking creatures. Instead of attacking, they merely point my direction and inform the dragon of my position if I try to hide. The dragon gets both of my friends, and I'm dismayed to be on my own. I keep going however, and reach a neighborhood where I hide behind a circle of fences which are surrounded by trees. A goblin gives away my position and the dragon finds me. I wake up.

I'm at an amateur skateboarding competition with a friend of mine. We, along with what seems like a hundred other skaters, enter a large flat area lined with quarter pipes. All the participants stand on top of the ramps facing the center, where several people in charge are introducing the event. They begin to pass the microphone around and each person is urged to say something.

Several people babble about nothing, but I remember thinking they sounded cool. I worried about how I would come off. My companion was passed the microphone and, in my opinion, made a solid impression on the crowd. The microphone was then handed to someone else. Then to me. I said in a sarcastically monotonous voice, "Fuck the police, comin' straight from the underground. Young negro got it bad cause I'm brown." Most of the crowd thought it was pretty funny. I looked around to make sure I didn't upset anyone and passed the microphone on.

This is the last I remember of this portion of the dream. To the best of my knowledge, it preceded the following dream.

    14. Weather Balloon

      by , 01-27-2011 at 01:30 AM
      ---

This dream may or may not have occurred after the previous dream, but it was definitely a dream from last night. I find myself in a neighborhood I'm not completely familiar with. Possible the neighborhood of one of the two people I was with. We had heard there were weather warnings in the area and decided to go out to see what there was to see. I was with my girlfriend and a close friend of mine. I don't remember faces, but I remember the feelings.

We decide the best way to get a look at what was happening would be to take up a makeshift hot air balloon which was in the yard of the house we were standing in front of. The hot air balloon takes off with all three of us securely on board. This hot air balloon was not ordinary. It seemed to be fashioned together as a parachute like section attached to a large block of wood. My two companions stood on the wood while I held on tightly to the rope that was holding the two pieces together.

The wind was so strong, it took us above the clouds to a point that no longer felt safe or fun. I motioned to my girlfriend that I was scared and wanted to board the platform with her, but I knew there wasn't enough room. I held on tightly. We could see what the weather reports were saying. There were several tornadoes in the distance which, at the time, seemed more awe-inspiring than frightening. We floated above the clouds for a good twenty minutes until we hit a pocket of air which allowed us to slowly sink towards the ground.

When we burst through the cloud covering we saw that were were falling towards a large body of water, something of a channel for large boats to pass through. There was actually a boat there which appeared to be covering the surface of the water with crude oil. It was to our understanding that it was to prevent the storms from developing even further. We landed close enough to the edge of the channel that we were able grab onto the ledge and climb onto dry land, without even getting wet. This is the last significant thing I remember.

    15. Lucid in the Hood

      by , 01-26-2011 at 09:03 PM
      ---

The dream takes place in a familiar neighborhood. Maybe a reflection of my hometown. Maybe the current city I'm living in. I cannot say for sure. I'm riding in the car with a friend and his sister. Their relationships to me and each other are not concrete and it seems that at certain times during the dream, they assume different roles.

We're riding to nowhere in particular as recklessly as possible. It is exciting at first until the driver starts to run stop signs and red lights and make dangerous turns. I warn him that we were just spotted by a cop and are definitely going to get pulled over. He kicks it into overdrive and I struggle for my seat belt. We make every maneuver possible to evade the cops, pulling a full 180 degree skid. At this point we've lost them and proudly head back home as though we had accomplished our goal for the day.

It feels at though the police are still on our trail. We get out the car, but I notice a squad car speeding down the road from our left. It took me a split second to decide I wanted to create a ramp for him fly off of. It was at this point I realized I was dreaming. I thought hard about what I wanted to create and then quickly turned my head to the right and pointed my finger. A spine ramp was sitting, basking in all its glory, directly where I was pointing my fingers.

At this point, however, the police are no longer a threat and have completely removed themselves from the dream. To be sure I'm dreaming, I perform a quick nose plug reality check. I'm dreaming! In an attempt to solidify myself in the dream, I look around for something to heighten my sensory input. I walk up to a shopping cart sitting in the middle of the road and feeling the heat from the sun on the metal. I had read of someone on the forums licking a brick wall to solidify him/herself in the dream, so I proceeded to lick the handle of the shopping cart. It tasted metallic. I remember my tongue sticking to it briefly. I look around and attempt to take everything in, but I get too excited and the dream fades out.

I'm lying in bed with my eyes still closed. I remember someone on the forums mentioning fading from a lucid dream into sleep paralysis. And though I did not realize it at the time, I feel as though I may have experienced a similar phenomenon if only for a short time. Eventually I became suspicious and questioned reality, plugging my nose. I could breath, but it felt too real. So I sat up, everything still dark, and tried again. Indeed I was dreaming. I lifted the covers off over my head found myself in an extremely distorted, surreal version of my room. I was unable to move effectively. I woke up.
