    1. Best stability yet

      by , 06-13-2013 at 05:27 PM
I began the WILD process this morning, but couldn't be bothered finishing it off. Basically I instead went to sleep to try have a normal DILD, at one point I see myself in hypnagogic state and can tell a dream is forming around me. I simply let it form using my mind to pull me in, like for a WILD and ended up in a very realistic dream in my Dad's living room. The touch, feel and general presence were that I was actually there, knew I was dreaming and in a way that was way ahead of any lucid dream I have ever had. I start doing things - masturbation, invited friends around who invited girls around.

Upon waking I originally thought it was an accidental WILD but I then remembered being in a previous dream (or maybe an earlier part of the dream) where I was showing off magic without realising I was dreaming. I'm unsure if it was a different dream (in which case the lucid was a DEILD) or if the magic was part of same dream and the hypnagogic state was then an opportunity given to not escape a dream, which I then took.

    2. obe within dream

      by , 06-09-2013 at 06:02 PM
Been attempting WILDs on a daily basis, still experimenting. On Wed morning I felt like I was about to either OBE or go into WILD after having gone through much of the process, but again didn't quite make it. I decided then to move to plan B and go to sleep and try for a DILD.

Next thing I'm in a classroom and the vibrating noise I had in my ears when I tried to do a WILD was there and Iet it grow until I OBEd. At that point I became lucid, albeit mildly, and used it to fly. I became more lucid as I went on albeit my memory wasn't great even immediately afterwards. Last thing I remember was landing in a bedroom where a lady was reading a book on iPad and upon my mental suggestion when she gently swiped it a paperback copy materialised out of the device.

    3. WILD attempt

      by , 06-02-2013 at 11:41 AM
To cut a long story short I have been trying WILDs lately. I can see it will be useful to learn and that I have an idea of how to do it, as I would like to get more routine LDs and practice more.

Today I did get quite far. I started with counting breaths to 300, then went into a mantra meditation known as John Main meditation. I got to a point where I was getting moving images. Didn't quite make it to sleep paralysis and then decided to go to sleep normally. I dreamt one of my sisters gave me a surprise visit in my flat. After waking up I was thinking about asking her by text if it really happened or was it a figment of my imagination, then I lay down on my other side. I could hear a ringing in my ears and let it get stronger - it sounded like motorbike humming. Next thing I had some moving imagery of a motorbike and it going out of control. Next thing I was in a dream, but didn't realise it (my penis was in front of me, but in 2D and flat). Had I realised it would have been actually a DILD, induced because of the WILD process. Early days, but I can see this progressing with practice.

    4. 2 lucids in one night

      by , 02-21-2013 at 01:59 PM
First one I lost a lot of the memory of because I didn't write it down quick enough. I remember having a dream within a dream, where I was sleeping on a matress on the floor of a flat. I think I was out with dream characters and/or friends but mainly copped that I was dreaming and tried to do magic as it usually worked in previous lucid dreams. It didn't work and eventually I woke.

2nd one I'm showing my Dad my flat and slowly but surely I figure I'm dreaming as he seems to be under a subtle control from my mind. I'm also aware the flat is way more spacious than mine and as he talks to my niece I find she's invisible to my eye. I think this and my Dad then says something about it being typical of a dream. I'm annoyed at him not saying goodbye as he leaves and I wake up.
    5. Lucid as a male mermaid

      by , 02-19-2013 at 01:03 AM
I had this dream this morning - I'm on a ship writing a letter to my dad about how trying to rescue someone could cause us to sink. I can hear myself in a film-style voiceover saying a line from the letter that is quite poetic and profound like "Just one call of distress can send us all to our doom". Next scene I hear an eery distress call and it's like watching a movie - I can see the gigantic ship I'm on sinking - I think that bit might be directly from "Life of Pi". Next scene I'm in the movie again, as it were, drowning outside the ship on a stormy night. But I see my fellow mermaids and realise I'm a male of their species and suddenly rise up through the water, it's more like as if gravity has decided to change direction for me only. I'm above the water and flying, which suddenly stabilises without me necessarily controlling it and it's a bright sunny day in a nice bay. Then I realise I'm dreaming. For a few seconds I enjoy my flight without control then I decide to stabilise the dream and, on the advice received last night at a lucid dreaming group, try to rub my hands together. But instead I wake up.

The fact that I tried stabilising is a good sign and I'm sure I just need my mind practiced and in the right place for it to work. Also it's the first time I had one while having to do something the next day (I was in work today) as usually the stress free atmosphere had helped.

And finally, as in my lucid dream 2 weeks ago and the semi-lucid one last Monday, waking up for real was exhilirating experience.

    6. RCs within dream.

      by , 02-11-2013 at 03:42 PM
In the main dream I've just pulled a blonde that looks like Cameron Diaz and she's on top kissing me. Then suddenly she turns nasty and turns out to be actually a demon that continuously tries to choke and strangle me. I run away and get a ghost hunter/exorcist who's got equipment to detect her. We're in the bathroom of my Dad's house as they look for her and I'm thinking something's amiss then I look through the glass panel on top of the bathroom door I see her grinning evilly at me, almost telepathically telling me she's put a spell on them so they can't detect her. She comes after me then I false awaken.

In this part of the dream I have a wife and am glad everything's ok. At some point I realise my wife is actually the demon from the original part of the dream. I think about if this is a dream and do a reality check, sticking my finger against my hand. It doesn't go through, but I can tell from the skin bubbles that pop out in the air that I'm not in reality. Immediately I false awaken again before the demon can get me again.

This time I'm in my bedroom, a false version of my bedroom. I reality check straight away, but don't notice anything amiss. The skin bubbles aren't there and I guess I've done that one in the real world too much. I mosy around thinking about what I'll do for the day and then abruptly actually awoke. I didn't actually RC again, I could tell from the intensity that I was awake.

I'm finding it hard to call that a lucid dream - I think the best description of it is as fully lucid at 2 brief moments. Nevertheless, using RCs in dreams is a breakthrough as I can see the challenge in using them to become fully lucid and in control. I've been decreasing my use of them a lot lately and I think I'll take that a step further by only using them in dreams if possible. Also preferable is to take control - part of me let the demon take charge in the 2nd part of my dream.

The fully lucid dream I had last week has one similarity in the sensation of actually awakening, which is way more amazing than from a non-lucid dream.
    7. Lucid at last

      by , 02-03-2013 at 06:04 PM
I finally had a lucid dream last nite - 3 weeks after joining this site, not my first of my life.

I see myself in a bedroom in the dark. There's 2 bunks there (in reality I sleep by myself in a double bed) then I think "I'm dreaming?" and celebrate a lucid dream at last as I remember where I am in bed, no need for reality checks here. Probably not the best thing, as my dream never stabilises. I enjoyed it tho - 3-5 minutes of conjuring up beautiful girls from my life and not really doing much. I also became too aware of really being in bed and how comfortable I was and eventually awoke, doing a reality check confirming I have awoken.
    8. Semi-Lucid for a little time

      by , 01-30-2013 at 12:40 PM
Managed to realise I was dreaming last night (ish). Momentarily realised I was dreaming, but didn't fully appreciate my dream-like state and take control. It is getting better as being in a teaching environment (one of my common dream themes) triggered lucidity.

The dream in full (as far as I remember): I'm telling a friend about lucid dreaming, suggesting I might be dreaming now, then suddenly I'm doing classroom observation in a school I realise I'm actually dreaming, which was soon forgotten though. I'm embarassed as my pants are down and when I pull them up I realise I'm in pjamas. I'm not impressed with the teacher (strict + a bit old school in her methods). I'm vague on the next bit but I know the last scene myself and Tony Soprano going back in time to rob someone that looked like Alec Baldwin. He wears a mask of fresh fish on his head for his work we notice this when he's on the phone (calling himself a "competent man in a mask") and as per my instructions Tony goes back in time with me to 1999 and puts on a similar mask to pose as him so he can rob his workplace, then I wake up.
    9. Beginning to get a lot in my journal now

      by , 01-20-2013 at 06:16 PM
I only joined this site last week and started my dream journal on Tuesday. For most of the week I remembered none of my night dreams and usually had 2 in the morning (I work 1-8 these days so can lie in).

Friday night that changed when I remembered 1 night dream and 2 in the morning.

Last night blew me away tho - 5 dreams.

      1. In this one I'm a rich kid living of his parents and annoyed about them as they are elderly and not with it. I end up debating how annoying this is with a girl who thinks its cool to have such elderly (in real life my parents are older than normal, but I was neither rich nor a freeloader and I find my Dad fairly adaptable to the 21st century).

      2. I've masturbated in class (I'm 15 in this dream) and am very self conscious of the fact that I have to hide the fact that I need to do up my pants. This is a recurring dream I have had since my teens in various forms because I used to come close to getting caught wanking in the sitting room as a teen! Then the dream changes suddenly - I'm discussing what Germanic names English soccer clubs would have if the Germans won the war with schoolfriends. I'm not lucid but the news in front of me follows my thoughts - Argentina are playing England in a friendly then Alex Ferguson appears in Argentinian colours in a cartoon as if to support them, after I think of that. Then an image in cartoon of the history of this dream world appears in which Germans did win the war and the soccer clubs got their names changed as per my thoughts.

      3. This one is very vague - I'm discussing with someone about how often people laugh at my jokes to humour me (60% is the figure mentioned). Tbh on this one I took about 10 seconds before writing this down so most of the memory quickly faded away.

      4. This one I remember people turning up to move furniture to and from my last house. I accidentally gain things from this and they are to move one the computers - 1 is the landlords, which is down and other is mine. In real life my comp is a desktop, in dream it's a mainframe as tall as the room. Next a girl asks me to complete a survey and then after finished goes to the bus stop outside my house, where there's a bench that doesn't exist in real life. I admire her in her sexy shorts then turn around and say hi to a Chinese/Asian male who's on a laptop inside.

      5. In this one I witness a domestic disturbance on the 2nd floor of a house from outside. I hear the lady repeatedly scream "I'm sorry" while he repeatedly says "come on, get out", while he clobbers her around the room, which is easily visible from the street. I recoil in horror, squirming at each blow until I wake up.
