    1. Earth's Last Day

      by , 02-11-2011 at 05:03 AM
I had this dream around 1988. It was very vivid but I was not lucid, if memory serves. I was standing outdoors somewhere with a guy I worked with, named Marc. There were asteroids, comets, nuclear missiles and UFOs flying wildly all over the sky, but mostly UFOs. As we all know, these are all speculated ways that the Earth may come to its demise. So in the dream I was thinking...'Wow, so this is it. All these things are happening at once.' Then suddenly this huge UFO, so big it almost completely blocked out the whole sky, comes down and lands right in front of us. It was your typical round UFO. It then proceeded to dig itself into the Earth until the roof of it was level with the ground. The whole thing was now underground! A huge round hatch (I know, so cliche) the opened up to reveal an entire fully functioning city inside! The tops of the skyscrapers were right at our feet. I wanted to climb down the side of a building and go check out this city. For some reason, I was not afraid but Marc was and he refused to go. I didn't go either but we both knew that this was the end of the world (as we know it) and that we were being taken over by aliens. I have two thoughts on this dream. The first one is that back when I had this dream, I did not believe aliens existed and had never seen a UFO. I never once considered that aliens would take us over. Also, I had never picked up a Bible and had no forethought about the New Jerusalem being brought down to Earth in Revelation. So my question is: Could this dream have been prophetic? Did I witness the New Jerusalem coming from the sky? Back in 1988, the only possible cause for the end of the world I'd ever contemplated was nuclear war, which may be why my mind threw the nuclear missiles into the air along with the UFOs and comets.

    2. Two Dreams About "A"

      by , 02-07-2011 at 06:58 AM
Both these dreams were intensely romantic without being sexual. The first one was in late November or early December 2010. Several people at work were all standing near my desk having a bit of a heated discussion. "A" and I frequently work together to get things done and often have to deal with attitudes from these other people. We were both starting to become a little stressed over the behavior of these other co-workers when suddenly, "A" comes over to me and we give each other the most loving and tender hug, better than any I've had in real life.
This 2nd dream was on December 9, 2010 (yeah, I remember the date!). This time "A" is standing behind me with his arms around me. In the dream we'd both come to the realization that we want to be together but in real life, we are both married to other people. He also has 2 children. Suddenly, he put his head down on my shoulder and started to cry. I knew he was crying because of what a divorce would do to his children and his relationship with them (they are very young). I reached up and touched his face and said "Don't worry, "A." Everything is going to be OK." End of dream.

    3. TC's Visit to Vet

      by , 02-04-2011 at 01:56 PM
This is a boring dream but I'm putting it in for the heck of it. I was out with my family in the car. The cat was with us as well. Everyone was in the car except my mother, who was dilly-dallying. I finally exclaimed "Ma! Come on, TC is late for his appointment!" We get to the vet's office, and I see the vet is Mitch, a vet who I worked for 20 years ago in real life. He didn't even examine the cat and we were just standing at the receptionist's desk when Mitch leans over the counter and jabs TC in the rear with 2 vaccinations while I'm holding him up in thin air. We weren't even in an exam room. As we are getting ready to leave, someone says "The whole internet is down all over the world." For some ridiculous reason, this has everything to do with the ocean and his tech says "Why is the internet down?" Then Mitch and I simultaneously tell her "Look out the window. See the ocean? Well, that's the south." OK, so...whatever.
In the next totally disjointed scene, we are back home (and the house is not my house in real life) and I'm on the 2nd floor with the cat. There is no railing and the cat fell straight down to the first floor and I heard the thud, which means he didn't land on his feet. He's OK though. So I am then trying to install a baby gate at the top of the stairs with no luck. The spring won't tighten. A friend from years ago walks into the house and says hello to my brother. Oh, at one point in this ridiculous dream, TC gets loose and is running through shrubs near a boardwalk but he returns to me when I call him. I think then I woke up. This isn't the most disjointed and themeless dream I've ever had but it's up there near the top.
