    1. Haven't Done This in a While

      by , 07-03-2014 at 12:24 AM
I haven't been on this site in quite some time, and to be honest, never quite planned on coming back. However, after the past two nights of weird dreams, I wanted to write at least one down and share them with people. So, without further ado:

      July 2, 2014

I woke up inside of my grandmother's old house. Everything was dilapidated from top to bottom. The wood was wet and rotting, the rug that use to be there had vanished, and even some parts of the house had collapsed after further inspection. Deciding that the house was truly a mess and hadn't been lived in for years upon years, I strolled outside from the doorway. It look horrendous. A redish haze filled the air while little bits of dust were falling from the sky. The grass was seared in some places, dying in the next, and even sometimes nonexistent. I could feel eeriness and tenseness in the air while I walk to my grandmother's backyard. Upon arrival, I noticed a shed. Not taking noticed that my grandmother doesn't actually have a shed in her backyard, I opened the doors and walked down the shed's hallway for a bit. Wooden poles were erected on either side of me to hold the roof up. It sorta looked like a mini-barn on the inside. After my little stroll down the hallway, I opened up two big wooden doors at the end of the shed. I walked into the room that it uncovered and closed the door behind me. The room was pitch black. I couldn't see anything at all. Then, from my left I heard a little girl say "Hello,". I was startled and jumped since I thought I was all alone. "H-Hello?" I stuttered, a bit confused. The little girl laughed and then turned on a lamp she had. (I don't ever remember actually seeing the girl, but I do remember seeing a shadow of her from the back. I only remember knowing where she was, which is sorta weird. She also was always on the bed, save for later on.) The room acted as though the lamp wasn't even turned on, almost refusing to light up until we had three lamps on. The room was oddly big for the size of the shed. It was spacious enough to have one small bed on the far left side of the room that hugged the western wall (this bed happened to be the and a bed on the far right side of the room that hugged the northern wall at the top right corner of the room. Each bed had a table with a lamp on it. The bed to the west's table was at the head of it while the bed at the top right corner's table was right next to the bed. Completely forgetting about the little girl's existence, I sat down in the middle of the floor right next to a random lamp there. I guess I decided to stay considering I knew nothing about the new world I was in and there was someone there who did. Suddenly, I saw a bright light flash through the window that was above the little girl's bed (this window only appeared this time only) and I heard tires screeching to a halt outside of the shed. "Get into this corner and stay quiet!" she informed me while rushing herself and I into the bottom left corner of the room. I heard the sound of people landing onto the ground with a thud. I assumed they were hopping off of the vehicle outside. I heard the shed doors fling open and saw flashlights shining from the little slit under the door. Their boots were noisy running up and down the hallway, but it let us know where they were. I heard one of them approach the door into our room. I felt extreme fear and helplessness in my stomach as the door was slung open. The person flashed his light into the room, but haphazardly. Thankfully because of his carelessness, we were unseen.

(I don't quite know how we got another person from, but we did. He was tall with greasy black hair and a fairly large nose. I didn't truly like him, and neither did the girl it seamed)

It was late that night and the new guy and I were around the lamp in the middle of the room talking about nonsense. "So, where are you from? How old are you?" he asked. I thought for a second and then realized, that I don't know wither of those answers. "I...I don't know." I responded truthfully, getting more scared by the second. He looked confused and a bit empathetic as he reached into his pocket and pulled out an ID. I don't remember much about it but I do remember that it said the year was 47XX ( I don't remember the full year, but it was something along those lines). "Wha-That's impossible! There's no way it's they year! I was born in 2909, that's nearly two thousand years later!" I said, increasing my volume ever word along the way. I was practically yelling when I was done. "What is going on?! Who am I?!" I questioned him with sadness trailing my voice. I was nearly on the verge of crying. The guy said nothing and put his ID away. We sat there for a bit longer while I collected my thoughts and calmed down. Eventually, we decided to go to bed. The girl sprawled out on her bed, and I got on the only other one available. The guy laid on the floor with no protest at all. We were all nearly on the verge of going to sleep whenever the doors rushed open. I heard people step into the room, and a lamp was flicked on. (I don't remember seeing these people, but I do remember knowing there were 3 of them) Even though a lamp was on, I still couldn't see anything, but it seemed as though everyone else could. "Get up now!" Said a girl in a thick Russian accent. Her tone made me think she could care less what happened to us. Everyone stood up immediately but me. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, but I can't see! My eyes aren't very good!" I said in an equally as thick Russian accent for some reason. I hoped she didn't think I was mocking her when I said that, but there was nothing I could do at the time. She scoffed and walked away with her two friends. I don't remember how we ended up outside, but we did. The sun was barely over the horizon and the red haze was nearly gone. The world almost looked normal. I walked to the front yard after some time of taking in the world, and I saw a tiny black puppy running around. I smiled at his happiness. I watch the dog play for a couple more seconds and then I turned my head right. There was a baby blue car sitting there. Out stepped a different guy. He had short, black hair with a goatee. He was somewhat short but no one said anything about it. He looked at me with longing, as though I was a long lost friend of some kind. He looked like he wanted to help me. I knew we were going somewhere, so I got into the car. I could feel that the girl was beside me even though I couldn't see her, which made me a bit more eased. Soon, we were off.

We were driving fairly quickly down a empty road in a huge city. Every single building I saw looked like it touched the sky. I was in awe at the sheer size of everything in this city. Then it hit me. I'm two thousand years away from home. Everyone who I loved is dead. My friends, dad, sister, everyone. I instantly burst into tears. "What the hell is going on?! Who the fuck am I?!" I asked between sobs. The guy with the goatee sighed but said nothing. After a couple more seconds, I stopped crying. The car ride went a bit in silence before the goatee guy said "I've to get you there quickly. You may be infected,". I was confused with what he was saying. "We're not infected," I reassured him, but he didn't look convinced.

We were now in one of the huge buildings. It had anything and everything you would need to live. Apartments, groceries, entertainment, everything. We were hurried along by the people behind us. We all got onto a floating platform and before I knew it, we were moving. Right next to the route of the platform were people yelling "15 tickets! 20 tickets! 10 tickets" and holding out a handful of white tickets. I saw people reaching out and grab some, so I did to. I managed to get some from a vendor yelling "20 tickets! 20 tickets here!". I didn't know why we needed these tickets, but I didn't spend too much time thinking about it. "30 tickets...30 tickets..." I heard in a quiet voice. I should not have been able to hear it over the crowd of ticket vendors, but I did. It was the guy with the goatee. He stepped out from the crown and looked me strait in the eyes. He shook the tickets in his hand once again. "30 tickets...". He looked like he wanted me to come and get them, and as though he wished to help me again. However, I was a bit creeped out by him, so I ignored his 30 tickets.

And that is when I woke up. Writing this, I realized I didn't get the names of ANYONE that I met, which is strange. I hope my writing wasn't too horrid since I've wrote this 3 times or so and since I've not wrote in 2 years.
