    Lucid Dream

Date: Night of January 25, 2011

So it's about four in the morning. I just got off the computer after extensively researching lucid dreams, and filling my brain with the basics of dreams, such as definitions, stages of sleep, dream recall, and things of this nature. With this on my mind, I turn my Playstation on and put a CD in. As I listen to soft piano melodies, I repeat to myself as I fall asleep, "I will wake from my dreams and completely remember them," as I had read that on the home page of this site. Soon enough, I'm drifting off to sleep.

I'm sitting in a large auditorium, and I'm definitely not alone. Every single seat is filled. As I look around, I come to the realization that this building is one I've been in several times. It's the Civic Center, downtown. I look down to the center stage to see what seems like a play. A father and son talking, which soon turns into an argument. I'm not very interested, and look to my right and I see my girlfriend. (It's a long distance relationship, so I don't see her face-to-face.) I think nothing of it, I mean she's my girlfriend. I then stand up to use the restroom, and walk up the aisle. Once outside the main auditorium, I see two of my cousins. One of which no longer communicates with the family. (Again, another person I don't see face-to-face.) I say hi, and apparently my urge to use the restroom has gone away, as I go back to sit down. As I walk down the aisle to my seat, some woman tries to catch my attention. She urges me to sit down next to her for some reason. I comply, and apparently she just wanted some company. I look down to the center stage again, and see my friend Jonathan down there performing card tricks, as if he were a magician. (Since he doesn't perform card tricks, this is another odd thing.) I watch as he performs some very interesting tricks, such as causing cards to change shape, and things of the like.

Then my surroundings change. Perhaps a different dream that I remember? I'm standing in a pool of water, like a small pond. A middle aged woman that is not familiar to me at all is catching large fish with her bare hands. She's wearing a bandanna on her head and a flannel shirt, with pants that are rolled up to her knee. She's also carrying a large bag that she puts the fish in. Looking downwards at my own feet, notice that my pants are also rolled up and my shoes are gone, and I catch a glimpse of the fish. I see catfish, and some odd red fish, it reminds me of a Pokemon. I offer her some help, but she tells me that she doesn't need it. I turn around to see my grandmother and one of my aunts sitting down on a rock. I sit next to them and watch the other woman as she catches fish. Once finished, I walk with her over some ridge, where once we traverse it, we part ways. Looking around me, I find that I'm behind some building. My pants are no longer rolled up, and my shoes are once again on. I go towards the building and attempt to open the back doors, but they're locked. My grandmother and aunt catch up with me and try to help, but to no avail. Eventually, some people come out. As the doors open, we rush inside. I then see an old classmate crouching next to a baby wrapped in a towel. She says that it was just laying there. I look at the baby, and unwrap the towel to see what gender it is. It turns out to be a hermaphrodite. Wrapping the baby back up, I leave the building with it in my arms and get in a car, driving off to find it's mother.
(This is odd because I'm under the legal driving age, and thus cannot drive.)

As I drive, I cross a bridge. It's a very long bridge, and takes some time to drive over. Once across the bridge, I get out of the car and go behind some bushes, because apparently I'm in some place I shouldn't be. I have a feeling that the baby's mother is from here. After searching the place extensively, I can't find the baby's mother, so I take it as my own. Setting the baby down in the car for a moment, I turn to look around me again, and when I look back, the baby has become a toddler. I think nothing of it, since I fed it moments ago. I get back in the car, and after strapping the both of us in, drive back across the bridge.

My dream then ends and I wake up.
