    Fishing trip - 23 June 2010

Another non-lucid, but similar to DJ1 – free falling (twice in as many nights)

I’m basically hang gliding behind a fighter jet (don’t ask me why), but rather than a hang-glider, I’m holding unto a large fishing net, but can somehow still control motion. Anywho, there are two possibilities to the fishing expedition, through a river tunnel and out to a lake on the other side. Or, if you miss the tunnel, you just fly over a small mountain and down a ravine to the same lake.

Never figured how you possibly miss the tunnel and wind up going over the mountain. If the fighter jet takes the tunnel and I don’t, then how do I get over the mountain, and why am I not ragged along through the tunnel? That’s why they’re dreams, eh?

Anyway, I miss the tunnel and suddenly I’m holding on for dear life as the jet materializes in front of me and is powering up to safely traverse the mountain. (What a rush). When the jet has cleared the mountain and is over the ravine, it throttles down to nothing and I overtake it at the same altitude while it pulls into a nose dive toward the lake (hence the free falling – only with a boost). Again, hanging on with white knuckles as we’re falling toward the lake, the jet levels out as do I (amazingly without ditching into the lake – still can’t see how a fishing net is aerodynamic).

I spot my catch. It’s a large (shark/dolphin size) fish with the head of a catfish, but teeth of a shark. I drop in on it, kind of like a cowboy roping a steer at the rodeo. This thing’s snapping and thrashing and has white glowing eyes – that freaks me out (kind of turning into a nightmare). I’ve got it half netted, and I’m trying to swim outta the way before it makes me a meal.

Two other guys appear in the lake, and don’t even take notice of the fish or my effort to escape. Totally apathetic – gosh I wanted to slap them.

    Here’s where the dream ended.
