This one is boring, you probably shouldn't read it. I'm only posting it because I've had so few this month that I've been able to remember when I wake up. I'm curious though, the first 2 months I was keeping a dream journal, I'd recall several dreams a week, even multiple dreams per night, but now... slim pickins... Well, here it is anyway. Uneventful Non-lucid NonDream Non-lucid Lucid I'm walking outside of the house in which I grew up. My family is living there, and I've been away for some time, possibly at college. My sister and mom are playing in the yard, and my dad is presumably inside. I head for the side yard, and where it used to be a large grassy area with a cherry tree in the middle, there were now stables and a large, fenced in area. I look into the stables as I walk past and see miniature horses inside, a few chewing on some hay, others roaming the pasture area, and still others chillin in their stalls. There are also Canada geese walking around, as domesticated, not free roaming animals. I approach my mom, and we talk bit about the changes they've made since I've been gone. I think it's pretty cool that they've built this stable, and it will be so good for the family to have the extra income coming in from the geese and mini horses. Time Lost I'm outside with my sister and my dad, near a campfire on the far side of the pasture from the house. It's daytime, mid afternoon, and the fire has burned down to red coals. My sister is lighting small fireworks, watching them shoot up and explode. I approach them, just as she lights a new firework. This one shoots up about 15 feet into the air and explodes into silver powder, which then erupts into a massive fireball. I can feel the heat and the change in pressure, though I'm about 30 feet away. It seemed almost as if there were a hydrogen balloon behind the cloud of silver dust that was burning, Idk. I came closer, making some comment about that last one, when my dad hurriedly runs over and picks up the spent capsule the firework was contained in with tweezers. He tosses it into a beaker which contains some kind of milky, translucent mixture. He swirls it around, and it begins to foam up. He stirs it some more, and it does so again. He is trying to save some of the explosive material to make more fireworks. Time Lost I'm heading back outside, looking for something, I'm not sure what. I head over towards the stables, and go through the gate. I head inside, looking at the miniature horses. They're all in their stalls now for the evening. It's about 6pm, the sun is still up, but the light is beginning to fade. I walk through the pasture, and whistle for a horse to come over to me so I can pet it. For some reason, the horses are not all in their stalls now, a few of them are standing in the space between the stalls in the middle of the stable. Then I make the Click Click thing with my tounge, and the horse looks up at me and starts my way. Unfortunately, a goose is attracted by my whistling and clicking, and decides to come over to me. The horse looses interest and bends down to graze. I'm a bit annoyed by the stupid goose, but will settle for petting it instead. I hold my hand out and the goose pulls its head back, investigates it and allows me to touch it. I touch the side of its head, and go to stroke its neck, but it takes a snap at me. I try this a couple more times, and get mad. Finally I decide that I don't care what it does, I want to pet it! I quickly stick my arm out, and stroke it all the way from its head to its body. It's now the goose's turn to get mad, and it takes another snap at me, this time, actually nicking my finger. I reach out to tousle the feathers on its head, and it chomps down on my fingers, as if it were trying to gnaw with it's little beak teeth. My fingers are inside the goose's mouth for several seconds, and I remember thinking that I had always believed it to be really painful to be snapped by a goose, but it didn't hurt that bad at all!
SPACE!!!! Non-lucid NonDream Non-lucid Lucid I'm floating in space, making repairs on a shuttle. My cat, who apparently can breathe just fine, is floating in space next to me. My dad, who is another astronaut, but from another mission (I get the impression he's Russian) floats over to me just as I finish my task. We start to wonder how long we can last up here before we have to go back down to earth. We decide we've got a year's worth of food, and could stay that long. I then wonder if the sun's heat and space's cold would cause stress fractures to develop due to rapid expansion and contraction of the materials. Dream shifts I'm viewing a board room, not sure if I'm actually there though. Scientists are discussing the mission, and problems related to it. There is a ton of tension in the room. There is an enormously fat woman who stands up and addresses the conference. She is very douchey and doesn't seem to care about our lives. My cat is there now, and he keeps meowing. The woman is annoyed and puts him in a dishwasher, but doesn't seal it up all the way. I can hear him continue to meow though now it's muffled. She says 'They aren't cats that we can do whatever we want with their lives.'
Catching up on some missed DJ entries Camp Non-lucid NonDream Non-lucid Lucid I remember being in some kind of camp, somewhat like a summer camp type thing. There are several small cabins with large bay windows, and all the comforts inside (large TVs, Refridgerators, munchies, etc). Two of my close friends are there, G and P, as well as my girlfriend, S, I'll call them for the purposes of anonymity. We decide we're going to go hiking, though for some reason I get the impression that we're doing it against the rules. After quite a while of hiking, G starts suggesting that we head back rather than get in trouble when they realize we're gone. We ignore him for the most part, and continue hiking After a while, we come across some kind of racetrack. I can't remember for the life of me what races on the track, but I believe it's a kind of animal, or maybe robots. There is a lead car which is a medium sized remote control car with big, grippy, offroad tires for driving in the mud. It's supposed to run around the track, making the racers chase it. Like the rabbit at greyhound tracks The car veers off of the track when we get close, and drives off into the woods. There are semi well traveled paths throughout the woods, and we stick to those throughout our adventure. We continue to follow the car for quite some time, and it eventually emerges from the woods on the outskirts of the park/property. We realize that we are way far from where we are supposed to be, so we pick up the car and head back towards camp. We approach the camp on a ridge overlooking the entire site. Everyone has chosen their cabins and campsites already, and we are disappointed and annoyed that we are stuck with whatever is leftover. The car is gone now for some reason There are miniature 'stargates' at each campsite and cabin, and we've got a 4' 'stargate' with us now. To get down to the campsite from where we are, we must get down a 2 level cliff type thing. There is the level we are on, then about a 6 foot drop, sloped slightly, then a ledge of about 4 feet wide, then another 10 foot drop after that. I suggest that we use our small 'stargate' as a sled and slide down the hill. G points out the huge "Keep Off" sign on the top of the hill, directly blocking where we would need to slide down. I try to convince him that it is a dream, and it doesn't matter. Major missed dreamsign lol I point out the stargates around the camp and ask him if that makes any sense. He replies 'no' but he still doesn't want to risk it. I say whatever, and slide down the the first part on my butt, using the sign to propel me faster like on a slide at a playground. I land with a hard thump. The mud is harder than it looks. It hurt my butt, but I told everyone that I was okay, and to come on down. Then, not looking forward to the higher fall, I slid down that as well. I landed on my feet this time, looked back, and we were all at the bottom. We started looking around the camp, presumably trying to find an empty campsite or cabin. P is hanging with some friends of his in a cabin with humongous bay windows, we can see they're having a good time and don't want to interrupt. Unable to find anything, we head back to the visitors center, and crash on the couch in the lobby. All three of us laying on the couch together. Not fun. An old friend of mine's mom came in and offered us blankets, we told her no thanks, and she left. It WAS really hot and humid. I start playing around with my gf, S, and I roll back and forth, annoying G. I end up falling off the couch, and we all had a good laugh about it. Not a particularly exciting dream, but it was pretty long, detailed, and with all the fragments I've been having lately, it's nice to have a bit of a plot.
Dream Recall has sucked for me recently. I was doing well for a couple of months, remembering one every night. But now I can't seem to remember one a week. I've got one that I haven't posted yet, from two nights ago, but I haven't the time now. On a positive note: I did come very close to WILDing last night. I've never been able to get past the SP phase but this time, I got all the way to the transition phase. I saw a desert military base materialize in front of me like a videogame. I watching it as if from the point of view a helicopter would see, circling the base. I couldn't figure out how to get into the dream. I was afraid to try and jump in, afraid that I'd wake my body up. I tried imagining myself on the ground, walking between buildings, but that didn't work. I was waiting to see if the dream would get clearer or more stable, or until I felt like I could jump in without waking myself up, but it faded away. I tried at the last second to jump in, hoping I still had a chance, but woke my body up completely. I RCed and I was really awake. Dang. Oh well, that's closer to WILDing than I got last time.
Arrrgh! All these fragments are driving me crazy! For some reason I can't seem to remember anything these last couple weeks. Fragment: Hanger Non-lucid NonDream Dream Lucid I was in some sort of Sci-Fi spaceship hanger. Everything is metal and plastic. There are stacks of crates all over and a large freighter to my right. I am wearing a spacesuit and have the helmet in my hand. I put it on top of a crate and sit down on another crate. Two guys come in after me and do the same. Then a kid (probably 11ish) comes in and puts his small helmet in the open visor of one of ours. I remember my view zooming in to show the helmet inside of another. I get the impression that we are laying low from an angry woman (Possibly a supervisor or a wife or something) We are lounging around, talking and whatnot. One of the guys mentions reading a headline in the paper that talks about a scientist that was imprisoned or maybe executed for 'stealing' a part of the rocket engine he was working on. He was in charge of the part and was told not to let anything happen to it, so he took it with him, and apparently got caught with it outside the lab. The kid is hanging around me asking me questions in German. I answer him back in German as well. After some time, he wants to play this word game in German of course. I tell him I don't want to play (I speak German, but haven't had to in years, so I don't think I'll be good at the game) He starts begging me, pleading "Bitte, Bitte" I keep telling him 'No' (English now) and after a little bit more of this the dream ends.
Fragment- Kiddnapping Investigation Non-lucid NonDream Dream Lucid I only remember flashes of this one.I'm getting out of a black, government SUV in a residential neighborhood. All the houses look very similar. Each is two stories, varying in color slightly from tan to gray with small front yards and large, fenced in backyards. Children's toys are strewn about each houses' backyards. I walk across the street, looking at the second story window of a house as I approach it. I'm being briefed by a man in a black suit and tie who has a discreet earpiece snaking up from his collar. He sort of reminds me of the agents from the matrix, except friendly I'm being told that this is the window from which the girl was taken. Apparently I'm investiaging a kidnapping. The following I found written in my DJ, however I have limited to no memory on each point Fragments: -Kidnappers are extremely good; Very experienced -Almost had to kill girl (No memory of this) -Had to use 'Kiddie/Girly' Software to find her because that's what the Company forces their agents to use. I got the feeeling that I was some sort of freelance agent hired to find this girl. I remember nothing regarding nearly having to kill the girl, and nearly nothing about the kiddie software. All I remember of the software is a pink screen with kittens and flowers on it.
