    1. Dry spell ended.

      by , 11-23-2010 at 09:28 PM
Jeeze a loo. Quite the LD dry spell.

Anyway, it was a straight up DILD. Falling asleep while dreaming is becoming a fairly common way for me to become lucid.

Getting down to brass tacks. I was basically trying to fall asleep in an alternate version of my current living room. The TV is on (It wasn't in real life.) and I'm trying all sorts of positions to fall asleep. Eventually I put on some kind of potato sack over my head. I fall asleep then. Things fade in and I'm looking at some kinda crystal ball, things are tinted blue. I grab at it, but it's too far away. I try again and use it as an anchor, feeling it and using it to calm me down. I briefly think about how soon i might wake up since I became lucid, but I let that thought drift away. I move over to a stove (Again, things are still pretty blue.) and feel it. It's quite cold. The whole area looks quite familiar, and i comment aloud to myself that it does. Despite the fact that it looks only vaguely like some place I've been. So I walk over to a table with a bottle of soda and try a sip, it's remarkably realistic and tastes like root beer. (Even though it looked like Pepsi Blue.)

This parts a little hazy. I'm in an area that looks a lot like the living room of my previous house. I see a few creatures in a fenced area, they're quite small. One of them is a skeleton riding a spider from minecraft (Despite the fact I've never even SEEN one in minecraft...). I walk by an end table with a lamp. There are minecraftian pack-llamas near it, I comment how cool they look. I start to walk outside, passing my dad sleeping in his room in my previous home.

I head out the door, which is exactly like the front door of my current home, and close the door behind me. I'm on the deck of my old house, with a nearby landmark kind of making an amalgam of the two. I think about trying to fly now that I'm outside. So I jump, and naturally, gravity is low. I don't pursue it beyond that. As I look around, everything goes really foggy and a tornado bolts past me on the right. It doesn't destroy anything though and things clear up. Soon after, a gust of wind picks me up and carries me around a bit, I'm pretty surprised by it and begin thinking about my subconscious. The wind sets me down near a dry looking bush and it seems I'm in a park, despite not having gone anywhere.

I look out in the distance and see a girl walking through the grass towards me. I know it's my subconscious, and I call out to it. We meet up and I thank it.

She looks at me and says "Sometimes when I sleepwalk, it fallows me home. Did that happen to you?"

I reply "I don't know yet..." and I wake up.

Bah, Elly wakes me up EVERYTIME we meet. But I'm pretty sure it was responsible for making me lucid this time. *Grumble grumble* I sure hope i figure this out eventually. But despite the fact it wakes me up every time I summon it, I'm not gonna stop doing it! >:C
    2. Kinda DEILD, but mostly Novembers goals.

      by , 11-01-2010 at 04:43 AM
Kinda did a DEILD this morning, but my lucidity was... Iffy at best.

Had something t'do with a grocery store.

But, I have a whole cornucopia of goals for November, which I am calling the 'Senses suite'.

      Novembers goals
      Sight
      -Look upon something truly unexplainable.
      -See my subconscious's undiluted form.
      Sound
-Remember an entire conversation in a dream. (That's longer than a few words.)
      -Listen to a song.
      Smell
-Smell a flower in a dream.
-Smell something that shouldn't have a scent.
      Touch
-Pet my cat in a dream.
      -Give someone a hug.
      Taste
      -Eat something.
      -Drink something.

Pretty general, but when I manage to fill out the list, I might try a few more goals.

    3. Two-goals one cup.

      by , 10-16-2010 at 06:46 PM
Shazam, out of the blue two goals, one a yearly, checked and in the bag!

Both having met my subconscious and held a conversation (Kinda) with it, that marks them off the goal list. I even got to try more interesting techniques.

Strangely, it all started out as a dream where I was on an island (Beaches are my go-to scenery for first dreaming when I'm MILDing, has t'do with the Drawing of the Three by Stephen King, and it's easy to visualize a plane of yellow next to a plane of blue.). Kind of video-gamish (A common theme in my dreams, I'm such a loser.), I was with my dad, looking at the craziness. I remember wondering what it would be like to open the console with an interface like this (I think I thought I was in virtual reality.).

Hilariously enough, I tried the nose breathe RC a few times just to see how it would work in this *Ahem* game. And was surprised when it failed each time, but I seriously had a derp moment as despite having done it at least 3 times, I still thought it was reality.

It wasn't until the appearance (And mosaic disappearance, like he was being censored on TV because he didn't sign a consent form.) of a recently deceased friend of mine that I think I started to get the idea that i was in a dream. Though that particular setting would change before I would get to be lucid in it.

I think I actually started to wake up at that point, and was in a semi-void for a bit. But I'm pretty sure I DEILDed back in. (This is actually a first for me, and I do it multiple times during this!). I'm no where near lucid at this point, I see my sister playing with two dogs upon a hill near a house in the snow (One I'm pretty sure is my dog, the other the dog of the aforementioned recently deceased.), the two dogs maul a guy (as they're both off their leashes.) and paramedics arrive. The dream changes focus and I'm walking past a fast food place with the doors open in wintertime.

Tactile sensations are pretty rare in my dreams at the moment, but I remember feeling the slight icy covering of snow on objects as I walked by. Eventually, I see my dad next to what looks like his car. He has me drive (the drivers seat is on the passenger side.) and the interior is very futuristic looking. I don't know my destination, so I use some kinda HUD navigation system, I dunno if it worked but I found myself at some kinda clinic. Police are standing off against some lady in a wheelchair (Possibly my sub!), I usher her inside, do a RC and approach the bar inside. The lady orders a drink, and the bartender asks me "Do you remember?", I reply with "Remember what?". Boom, I'm in the void, possibly even waking up again.

Not only did I DEILD (Possibly.), but I continued the dream from last time for the most part. Me and the lady have our drinks (I'm not drinking cause, well, I don't in real-life.). This part is hazy, but I know I end up in the void AGAIN.

I try a few things to escape the infinite blackness, spinning, sudden acceleration. But it wasn't until I felt what was in front of me that I found a way to escape. Whatever was in front of me felt like laminated cardboard, so I punched a hole, it took a bit for the dream to form, but I was looking at a cardboard wall with a hole in it. I stabilize and clarify by looking at the details of the hole, things clear up and I look through the hole. There were a bunch of people in... Cat suits? Dancing and whatnot in a circle, they all look at me so I just turn around and find myself in dimly lit hallways (Another common theme in my dreams.). I get it in my head that nearby is a door, behind which is my subconscious. I turn left and enter that door. Inside are a bunch of stuffed animals (A throw-back to my very first LD!) on chairs and hanging from the ceiling, and inside is a lady with poofy brown hair in some manner of white garb.

A little backstory here. When I was a kid, I had a few times where I dreamed of a person, about my age at the time. She was a little african-american girl I had never seen before, and I knew her name was Elvira. When I started taking an interest in lucid dreaming, I figured this may have very well been my subconscious. I only dreamed of this person about 3 times, but it popped back into my memory since starting a dream journal.

Lucid dream number... 2 or 3, I found a cat (Can't remember if I wrote about it here... I should start a reality journal.) who had a name tag of 'Elly'. Now, maybe it was just me looking for meaning in a completely random name, but I equated this as a clever-arse trick by my sub. I thought 'Elly' was short for 'Elvira'.

Anywho, back to the lady with brown hair. I asked if she was 'Elly', and she said yes. At this point I believed that this was my subconscious. She lead me into another hall, and i remember saying "It's nice to finally meet you.", we shake hands, but she's mostly looking to the left of me. I remember saying "I'd appreciate some help becoming lucid, and in particular appreciate this lucid dream.". She then lead me into a room, where this guy scared the utter bajesus outta me (Jump-scare.), my sub said something at this point, but I can't remember what. The guy gets another good scare on me before laughing and becoming all buddy buddy with me. At that point I woke up for good this time, as I noticed how dry my mouth was.

Actually, the avatar for my sub, I may have met in a previous dream I had that night. It may have been my sub all along during that too. I was in a hospital setting (Again, common theme in my dreams.) and some lady was following me around, she was acting all crazy like... I think she wanted to jump my bones or something... Anyway, I managed to peel her away from me somehow by signaling to the staff or something. But her resemblance to Elly, in retrospect, was pretty similar.

Oy, it's nice being able to write more than just a paragraph.
    4. OctobGOAL

      by , 10-09-2010 at 12:12 PM
Shazam, one monthly goal down, 2 t'go.

LD 3 is in the bag, I'm a bit sad I didn't remember to try and summon my Sub (Or for that matter, talk to anyone/thing...) but I did try some tests and expressed a bit of dream control. It's also my first LD where I didn't HAVE t'do 2 RCs (Though I did RC twice out of choice.)

Can't write out the entire thing, but it was a mostly easily interpreted dream. Of note of the things I did were: Enter a mirror, summon 3 weapons, will clarity, test a 'head shake' (Instead of a spin... Worked... At the cost of lucidity.)

I'll also note I didn't need to calm myself after becoming lucid. (Though I should've gone through the motions anyway...)
    5. The whole of goals

      by , 10-02-2010 at 08:38 PM
I may not be able to verbatim my dream journal, but at least I can write down my month/year goals I suppose.

      October's goals
      1. Have greater-than or equal to 3 LDs this month.
      2. Successfully preform a WILD
      3. Talk to someone/thing in a LD.

      Year goal
      1. Learn the meaning of at least one of 'the big four'
      2. Have at least 1 LD a week on average.
      3. Have subconscious make me lucid in a dream.

Obviously I don't have a high enough character limit to explain in full 'the big four', but I will say that they are the most significant dreams I've ever had. (Ordinarily, before training myself dream recall I could barely remember one dream a month. But the big four were clear as a bell, and are mostly very clear in my memory.)
