      Waking up from sleep

Has anyone ever tried to wake up from sleep when you are in a lucid dream, if you know that you are dreaming you should also know that you are sleeping, right?

I got scared once and thought I was going to be late for school. I just closed my eyes really tightly and lay down on the floor, then I woke up.

I've honestly never tried to wake up from a lucid dream (I'm too busy trying to stay in them)!

I became lucid once and as soon i did i could feel my arms shaking against the bed. Is that to do with Sleep Paylayis?
Well anyway this scared me and i forced myself to wake up. I just closed my eyes and pressed really hard telling myself to wake up and within about 2 seconds my eyes flew open and it was like a bolt going through me and there i was lying on the bed.

yeah..during a nightmare..the trip from lucid dream to real world was wicked. Lots of bright colors. Funny thing is when i went back to sleep I had arrived back into the same dream, but an alternate dimension of that dream

Kyros experience is just like mine. There was a monster chasing me in a dream when I was around 9 or 10 and I suddenly realized that I must be dreaming, so I forced myself to wake up in order to escape the monster. I basically just knew that if I was dreaming, then I was asleep in my bed and my eyes were closed, so I tried really hard to open my eyes. It took some effort, but finally they slowly opened and let in the morning light. That was my first lucid dream, and like Kyros, I had no idea what it was called, or that others could do it too.

Yes. I once didn't like the dreamscape, so instead of doing something to change it I woke myself up in hopes that the next time I'll hav a LD it will be in a more interesting place stupid dream logic. I had absolutely no problem waking myself up at will.

Yeah. When i was younger i used to have lucid dreams but didnt know i could control them. I used to close my eyes as tight as i could in the dream and when i opened them i was awake. i definetly wouldn't want to wake up during a dream now that i know how to control them.

I can end my lucid dreams by closing my eyes or by simply willing to wake up.

lately I found myself consciously waking up from most of my normal dreams...

when i was alot younger i would have nightmares where someone or somthing would be trying to kill me and i realised that i would always wake up befor i died so when i had those nightmares again i would realise it was a dream and get to where the attacker was and i would awaken.
