Dreams turn into black and white noise when i get lucid

As the title says, lately (i think the last 3 times) when i get lucid, it's like the channel on TV would suddenly disconnect, and it's all black and white dots or so called "snowing". After that, i try to wait and see if it will clear up, or just do some activity to interrupt this, but so far the only thing that nearly worked was when i yelled STABILIZE, and the dream went in colors for a second, then back into black and white. After that, i either automaticly end the dream, or continue it without lucidity (in colors). It's like something is blocking me when i realise i'm dreaming?

Anyone else had a similair experience or any idea what is going on? Note, i already had a beautifuly colored dream, so this wasn't happening before.

Any answers from "pros" would be nice, is it either a dry spell thingy or what, i'm a bit confused. Thanks!

My friend told me that does happen to him when he realize that he is LDing ( he always see things like strong lightnings etc. ) , his interpretation was that the subconscious mind makes that when you start to recognize you're dreaming, he didn't know why, but he gets over it by calming himself. Just give it a try .

A very similar thing happens to me, often when I start realizing I'm dreaming my view goes black and I feel like I'm falling or doing back flips. I've been able to focus on sensations in the dream (think walking or "feeling" around a room you're familiar with while having your eyes closed) but it's still hard for me to stabilize myself in the dream world. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that I get really excited so that jolt of emotion ends up waking me up. I think Shiznit has a good point in saying that we need to just calm down before we start trying dream control. In any case you're not alone! I know how you feel, it's frustrating.

I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one. Thanks for the replies. Since this is becoming anoying, I decided to start "training" and just thinking about it. I see myself getting lucid and when that happens, I won't have such problems. IF it pops out, I'm just calm and waiting for it to finish, knowing that i'll see a picture after this anyway. Autosuggestion is a powerful tool. It's just anoying since i didn't have this thing going on before. I must not fall out of lucidity which either ends the dream or continue without lucidity. I find it helpful to talk about such stuff on the forums, just to let it out, know others had the same problems and to confirm yourself that you'r doing what you should or in other words, to feel more secure about it.

I'll autosuggest another lucid tonight, this time with me being calm and just waiting it out while being aware of my dream body. I'll report tomorrow
      Thanks!

I'm sure that there are some posts you missed, not necessarily under the same/close title of yours becuase poeple explains what happened with them according to their situation, so its more likely to find some difference in the explaination .
You can chat with my friend through his Facebook Group : Lucid Dreamers Club , He is the creator and his name is : Fouad Zayat .
