      Phasing through matter in dreams.

How does phasing through matter in dreams feel? Does it hurt? Does it tickle. I don't want to try it untill I know something about how it feels. So what sensations do you get walking through material substances in dreams?

Depending on the density of the material, it ranges from feeling like pushing through water to pushing through sand.

It really depends on your willpower, if you think it's gonna be tough, it'll be tough. If you think you can walk right through it, you probably will.

Regardless of what matter that I have walked through, I have had no feeling. I just walk through it.
I can say that my vision is blurred as I go through what ever it is I am going through.

I think the more important thing to realize is that you ultamatly decide this. Since laws of pysics do not apply in a dream, your subconcious will give you a presumed or manifested outcome unless you condition yourself to think otherwise.

I havent gone through many materials myself, when I did do it with glass it was instantaneous, I guess it would be more like teleportation because i was suddenly on the outside looking in. And I agree, it will oly be as difficult as you make it.

I agree with the above posts. It's not that difficult if you don't expect it to be. In recent dreams I have flown right through solid walls with no trouble. The first time I tried, I just tried going through glass (a window), and it felt kind of like squeezing through a small opening -- but I think that's because I expected resistence. The next time, I wanted to go through a block wall, and did it without much effort -- it just slowed me down a bit.

I have "fused" through a screen window before. It was really cool, and really vivid and I felt every sensation to the fullest. I had an FA and right away realized I was dreaming and wanted to fly out my window, but there was a screen there. I put my hand up to the screen and slowly pushed my fingers into it. I couldn't believe that they actually went through. Once I got my fingers through I grabbed the screen and pulled the rest of my body through. It was incredible!! I was like that scene from terminator when the guy walks through the prison bars or whatever, except it wasn't liquid, it was like the screen was cutting through my whole body and yet I was "one with the screen"....really hard to explain. I've also gone through tiny openings and windows my making my body turn to "mush". God I love lucid dreaming.

My first oobe, I got up, walked across the floor expecting to go through the wall.. and bounced off !! (ooops). *I figured that since I could always walk through walls in my lucid dreams, that it would be the same while oob.

It must have been a real hoot for those astral watching me feel along the wall like a blind woman trying to find a soft spot or a secret opening.

I ended up shooting myself into the ceiling and went out that way. Don't ask me why I was able to go out through the ceiling vs the wall.. heck I still don't know why I just don't use the door.

Normally I don't feel any resistance going through ceilings or walls (I just find myself on the other side), but I did once. *I jumped on my bed and then bounced up to the ceiling. *I felt resistance and was only able to get my fingers through. *I bounced again and I felt my hand break through the ceiling and then the rest of my body. The ceiling felt different from my previous experiences.. it looked and felt like white foam rubber that slowly gave way under my touch.

I have tried this only a few times, but haven't been successful. I honestly thought I would go through a brick wall, but was totally disappointed when I felt it against my hand. After failing the first time, it was impossible to do it.

I tried walking through a wall before, but I only got part of my body in. I didn't feel anything.

      HAHAHA.

That totally happened to me. I think I left part of my body back in bed because I was walking/limping Quasimotto-style to my door and thought I would be able to go right through. SMACK! I fell to the ground. Got up, tried to open the door but my hands weren't working right so I ended up turning the knob with two limp wrists. I was laughing at myself the entire time. I mean...if someone had seen this...haha, I must have looked ridiculous. Anyway...I finally got the door open and only made it halfway into the next room (still walking like a freak with limp arms, a dead leg and hunchback) before I lost my lucidity/ap/oobe experience (or whatever the hell it was!!).

Try turning around and walking backwards. I find that I'll go right through, especially if you convince yourself that it will work.

I've managed to pass through a mirror and a cage wall before. I just closed my eyes, willed myself forward (not walking, just moving, bit like flying), and ended up teleported on the other side.

I've gone through several types of "matter" and it seems the more dense it is (you believe it to be) the more concentration it takes. I remember not being able to get all the way through a wall a few times and it felt kind of uncomfortable... kind of like scraping or rubbing one's interior with sand or another abrasive material. I've also noticed that if I don't think about it so much or analyze what it is I'm going through, it is much easier.

I only go through matter in sci-fis, in which case, the matter act like holigrams! Other than that, I don't do that, but I can teleport to places in my LDs.

What is a sci-fi? I'd say about 85% of my dreams are fantasy/sci-fi oriented but I could be in a classroom or other normal setting and still phase through a wall or barrier if I'm lucid enough. Breaking down walls is more dramatic and fun, but I suppose I also worry about hurting someone who may be on the other side if I just knock it down...

In the instances when I done so, I felt absolutely nothing. The closed doors through which I usually stride might as well have been thin air. And it's definetly easier to walk through places when you can see the other side (bars, glass), or if it is usually used for entrance (like a door, only it's closed...)

Yes! That is what it is like to go through doors in a sci-fi. If you want to know what a sci-fi is, go to the Dream Interpretation area. Cool that you have sci-fis, too, or so it seems

Yeah yeah, I've read all about your sci fi's. You're basically thinking you have OBE's

And when are you going to add more pics on your site?

Oh, sure! I think in terms that they are only dreams, blast! I mean, they may be realistic & all, but if there are 2 of me & 2 of Michelle, & 2 of Cody, then that is a dream. Cody is totally scared of his duplicate, & it is up to me to calm him down. How do you explain us having the same flying to Disneyland & having our unconscious duplicates on our beds, or us having white robes on?! That is because it is a dream, b/c I know that you can talk w/other dream selves in sci-fis that are in white robes! Sorry, but I am convinced that they are still WILDs (a bit on the realistic side, but still). Michelle doesn't agree w/me, but I know better since I am a dream sage!
