Having trouble making people appear? Try this

Last night I had my longest and most clear lucid dream. Throughout the lucid dream I wanted to make people appear, and I tried willing them to appear and expecting them to be there but that didn't work at all.

Then I thought, well how would I normally find people, by going out and either meeting them in public or going to their houses.

So I went outside and decided to go to someone's house, sure enough when I did I found people there waiting for me, as it's normal for houses to have people inside and you automatically expect it even if you doubt yourself.

Another tool I used, was when I wanted to find a particular person, I used the DCs to help me find them. For example I saw a sign regarding a person named "Julie", and I wanted to find her, so when I next bumped into a DC and she mentioned a she, I asked if the person she was talking about was Julie, she nodded and directed me to where she was. I was expecting someone there, and when I got there, there was a girl, now I don't know a Julie, or the girl I saw, so I just go "Hey Julie", and she responded warmly and suddenly became the Julie I was looking for.

Hope this helps someone, because this is one of my most successful LDs so far and everything seemed to go to plan aside from me accidentally blinking and waking up before I got to accomplish my goals.

Good job! I wish my dreams had more characters. Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one in them, especially in a lucid dream. I have trouble with control and making things happen, so next time I have a lucid dream I will definitely try to find some houses. Maybe I'll make some DC friends! I hope to find my dream guide one day.

Interesting, thanks. I have tried the 'behind the door' approach where I would think that someone I was looking for is behind the door, but it's always empty when I open it. I will try this method.

I've been planning to pick up my cell phone and call a friend of mine in a dream
for some time now, I actually managed to think of it in my one lucid dream but
I never got the chance

. But I feel the best way to find someone is to just get
out a phone in the dream and call them.

Now I recall asking a DC to bring me a person I wanted. I had tried summoning but that did not work. So when I asked a DC to bring me this person, another DC commented, "That's a smart idea."

Unfortunately, the DC brought back someone entirely different. Twice.

I felt like my subconscious said, "That's a smart idea, but not smart enough!"
