Stabilise or clarify - what first?

Hi, wondering what I should do first upon being lucid?

Should i rub my hands to make the dream clearer + prolong or should i start..I don't know..licking the floor to stabilise the dream?

      And any tips to stabilise/clarify/prolong?

      Thank you.

I think they usually come hand in hand.
If I had to choose, I would say stabilize.

Do something that keeps your senses active and you'll be fine. I like rubbing my hands because I can move around and do other things while doing it. Other than that, jump around, eat, feel the wall, lick the floor . Your focus is using your senses so your mind stays focused on it rather than going back to your real body.

Always stabilze. This will usually result in the clarity being increased because you will have a grasp on the dream.
As other stated, anything that keeps your senses active, as in smell, vision, audio, you get the idea.

Stabilize then clarify. There is no point in having vivid, clear, crisp dream which can fade away any moment, because you didn't stabilize it.
But, I agree that both of these usually come together.

Rub your hands together while using your senses. (look around, smell etc.)

Stabilize it, it will end abruptly even if you try to prolong it if it isn't stable

Stabilize and then rub your hands and gradually you will lost it and will come back in your senses and also try to smell it because its better to have clear and clean view.
