Flying Problems

So I have always been a sketchy flier, but I have been slowly improving. This new hurdle, however, has got me frustrated and stuck for awhile. So I can push off of the ground hard and fly with decent speed if I focus on my target and draw myself toward it. But when I need to change direction beyond like 30 degrees, I lose all momentum and fall. It is like I try to accelerate and have nothing to support me or thrust off of and just fall. I am not able to regain speed in the air. So recently I have been flying in bursts. Whenever I need to turn, I fall out of the sky and redirect myself from the ground....annoying. Also there are time where I fly too high and also run out of momentum. I have tried turning to my DG, but even he cannot give me belief to overcome this. I had him give me a token that, in theory, would give me all the power and control I need in the dream. But even then I struggled. Any people with similar experiences or and ideas on how to combat it?

I have had trouble flying at times as well. However just yesterday I tried flying like Ironman in the movies using jets that emerge from my hands to propel myself and to hover. It was seriously cool, maybe try "the Ironman method". It worked for me.

Yeah I am in the same boat, it is hit or miss with me I guess. if i picture a rocket under neath my feet pushing me up I can fly, or I imagine the world turns upside down and i fall upward if that makes sense. But yes I cannot fly 100% and usually fall to earth eventually against my will

My issue is that I can't accelerate without some sort of stable surface to push off of. Hopefully a jet propulsion system will help that. Thanks guys

I'll have to try something like the jet idea myself. I've only flown once and totally by accident (I was running extremely fast and just took off) and I had the same problem of not being able to turn and falling out of the sky.
