      Low Level of Lucidity.

I dont know if that happens to you. But most times when I in a lucid Dream it seems to be at low level. That means that I feel that I am conscious and I can do whatever I want but -It's difficult to describe it- it seems that I am drowsy.

For ex. I am saying " i am dreaming" I do a RC and it works. However, I am not feeling fully lucid, something like, I am not having consciousness ,however, I do what I had planned to do (for example to fly). It can be described that someone else is controlling my body but still follows my desires .Also everytime I see a DC, I lose lucidity - as they are so real - and that make me believe it's not a dream. Also, I have observered that I lose always lucidity, when I am thinking " OMG, it's a LD, so I have to hurry because most of them dont elapse much time" It is NOT excitment as I have low lucidity.I just say that "pathetically"...as a result I do things I wanted to do and the -flow- makes me lose lucidity and forget that I am in a dream.

Ok , it seems complicating.. for you to understand,.so please,if someone has understand what I mean, post your suggestion what to do to increase my lucidity. I want to be able to say "ok this is a dream",believing it and not forgetting it.
      Thanks anyway.

I am new at it also and there seems to be different levels of lucidity .My guess is we have the knowledge but need the practice. I think if you exercise your self-awareness wile awake it will be the same self-awareness in the dream. I too have a constant fear (for lack of words) that I will be losing the awareness and I now think that’s because my awareness in general needs to improve. I cannot do a WILD but some of the meditations that are involved are self-awareness techniques. I think I'm going to look into that type of training.

I have had dreams where I know I am dreaming, becasue the siituation is unreal, but I feel like I can do nothing to change anything; almost as if like in the movie "Being John Malkovich" I could see everything throuygh my eyes, but just couldnt seem to do anything to control what was happening, that was a sad morning when I woke up lol

Hey Sweet Melancholy...i went to some school in Athina...actually the north suburbs, like Kifisia and Pefki...

About your low level of lucidity, i found that in my Lucid Dreams, i had to really concentrate so hard, almost like flexing my brain to do what i wanted...
The other method i used, was just letting the dream do what it wanted, and controlling it in SMALL ways, but ways that did not contradict the dream's path through my conscious or subconscious....

Don't try to steal the dream, let it flow, and go WITH the current, rather than against it.

      Hope i was some help...

for me its dream spinning... gets every thing more vivid, but lucid vivid not to confuse you in a way thats this isn`t a dream. And i think that the dream to be real is very important for u to just have fun being lucid. Thats what I´ve learned in my last LD--

this has happend to me many times... almost all of my non WILD induced LDs are exactly what you described (even the thing about the DCs)
theres nothing you can really do to make these better, Iv tried to remember to use my technique for a more vivid environment, but since your not actually controlling your body it feels impossible. I guess the best thing to do is enjoy them and then try to get good at WILDing

      Thanks guys.
I have heard that WILDs are more vivid...thus easier to recognise it.
I dont know but in all my dreams it seems that my I.Q. is below 50

You might want to try to reenter a dream after you wake up from low lucidity.
If you will formulate your desire to reenter a dream the second you find yourself in your bed you will have a good chance of second lucidity or a WILD.

Try saying: "Clarity now!" or something similar it worked for me.

For your problem with forgetting that you're lucid try to do RCs in your LDs from time to time.
      Hope this helps!

Try to find your own space in the dream to work on your lucidity. Get away from the DC's because they can be very distracting and pull you back into non-LD.
