      Controling levels of lucidy

Hey everyone, I need some advise.

For the last 3-4 weeks I've been working on lucid dreams again. I'm encountering some problems, and I just wanna see if someone else had experienced something similar.
So far my dreams have rarely been 100% or 0% lucid. They are like on a scale 1-100.

First intentional lucid I have ever had few years ago was 100% lucid. Everything was so clear and vivid and I could do what ever I wanted.

Since I have been trying again these past few weeks. My dreams were far, far away from 100%.
For example, in the first one started everything out great. But then I was feeling I'm gonna wake up. Since I then I have not read the stabilization techniques I closed my eyes in my dream so it would take over me and I would not wake up. My unconsciousness took over most of my lucidy. I was still lucid to some level but dream was not controlled by me. It felt like someone is controlling my thoughts. Im conscious but I'm not controlling it.

Second dream I was looking for my car when I realized I was dreaming. When I got in the car I was trying to make it go really fast but only my head sticked to the seat and I was going the same speed...

Third dream I was trying to make my brother disappear, and I was really concentrating on that but I could not do it. Then I tried to turn the lights ON but failed as well.

Besides that those dreams are blurry, dark, like I'm drunk in them.

Anyone had similar experiences and is it just bad recall that produces the blurriness or? Should I work on stabilization techniques...or what?
When I was older I used to play with time machines.

I wonder if you're not looking at tasks in the wrong way. Remember you're not meant to try to do something: you're meant to do it. Don't think "I'm going to try to make my brother disappear", think "Okay, now I'm going to make my brother disappear"

The majority of my lds were also blurry and very, and the dream control was actually pretty low except in 1 or 2 of them. I consider this a lack of experience, but it might be something else for you. Maybe if you rub your hands or perform reality checks, or call for clarity, the dream scenario will shift back to vivid? Not wanting to discourage you, but for me, all these things don't make much difference. At least my WILDS are always blurry and dark.

About the control itself, remember that the dream will happen wether you are lucid or not. But you're the one who can alter that reality, so even if become lucid, a great way to not loose lucidity is not following the plot. Just fly away or make the DC's aware they are in your dream. Consider reading this tutorial as well about dream control. Maybe passive control is easier for you in the sense that you could find a device that makes people dissapear. I find that passive control is easier for me because it doesn't require much focus.

But yeah, in conclusion, try to work on dream stabilization techniques like the ones mentioned on this great guide. I'm sure if you haven't worked on them, they are your only and small obstacle to get back to vivid dreams! Goodluck

Poor recall doesn't necessarily cause blurriness, I find the blur comes from an unstable dream.
A few lucids ago, I had one where my dream just kept blurring in and out! So try Dream Stabilization and Clarity Tutorial - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views, well done for targeting the right area, you should work on that rather than recall, but keep a daily dream journal if you haven't been.
