Thread: Stabalization

Instead of struggling to open that eye, have you considered remembering that your actual eyes are not present in a dream, and are both comfortably closed on your physical body's sleeping face? In other words, in your dream there are no eyes to open or close, only images your dreaming mind chooses to present.

Well i did experience once lucid were one of my eyes was half shut and it was really annoying, but after stabilization everythin went back to normality. Stabilization is something that is very important yet very delicate in lucid dreaming, you need this to extend your time in the dream and have it as crisp and detailed as posible. Summary of the tutorial if you dont whanna read the whole thing is that basicly, remain calm and extend your both hands in front of your eyes and watch them with as much detail as posible for a minute or half a minute and in the meanwhile scream "ANCHOR LUCIDITY NOW!" and then after about 30secs-1 minute look up and your dream should be fully stabilized.

I used to have a lot of problems with lucid dreaming and my eyes/sight (because you of course don't need eyes to see in a dream), sometimes i wouldn't be able to see, my vision would fade in and out. What I found to be helpful is using verbal commands, that's probably one of the most useful stabilization techniques for me personally

update: last night tried closing my "eyes" seeing if it would destabalize me but it didn't and after that nothing really seemed to bother me (:
