What stabalization techniques work for you?

Eating grass (got the idea from someone on here), talking to DCs, chasing DCs, and being chased by DCs work best for me. The hand-rub technique works sometimes but not as well or as often as I'd like and dream-spinning usually makes me lose lucidity.

For me...First thing would be looking at my hands, then my surroundings, feeling them and then using voice commands...
If the dream goes blur or unvivid(is it unvivid?invivid? :p) Rubbing my hands would do the trick

I rub my hands and try to focus my sight as much as I can on them. One thing I would like people to try out though, is to slap yourself in the face. I did this in a dream and it got very vivid! I did this several times and each time when I felt the pain, the dream stabilized a bit more.

Rubbing your hands only works if you look at them. I usually splash my hands into cold water and say something affirming that I am lucid.

Rubbing my hands works really well for me. Looking at my hands does work sometimes but other times it destabilizes the dream because I get too focused on how cool they look in a dream. Feeling and focusing on everything around me helps out a lot. For instance: Feel the walls, floor, furniture, your body, clothes, any type of liquid, etc.

Bonus points if you feel something in your dreams, take a step back, then touch it again and make it feel like a completely different substance. So like, you could hold a piece of paper in your hands, set it down, touch it again and make it feel like sandpaper. Or feel a counter top ( i dont know i'm just throwing ideas in the air. ) and make it feel like alligator skin.

Standing still (breathing and looking around) usually works for me. If I try and do stuff straight away, which I quite often do, it becomes overwhelming and I lose control of the dream. Standing still makes me feel calm, collected and in control and because of that my dream takes the same shape.

focussing on any dream sense seems to be the best way. sitting and exploring what the surroundings look like is great. but you cant beat rubbing your hands on something for a quick boost that will last

Rubbing hands together works best for me. If it's night in my dream and I can barely see anything, doing that somehow brings out details in an almost movie-like way. It's like I get a bit of extra lighting out of nowhere.

Funny thing: I had a very blurry, dark dream the other day and the only thing I could see was my cellphone's screen, displaying the time - which switched from 9am to 5am while I was looking directly at it. That made me realize I was dreaming. So I rubbed my hands together - and poof! found myself lying in bed. The weird thing is, though, I don't remember opening my eyes. False awakening?

I find that if I just slow down a bit and observe my surroundings that my dreams last a lot longer and are more vivid.

The only dream I stabilized I shouted "Increase Lucidity!" ( I was told to do that by Clarity I believe) worked like a charm. Made my dream crystal clear

I usually push my fingers through my palm, or just focus on one thing.

Does anyone ACTUALLY pinch themselves like in the movies? Hahaha.

I have only stabilized once in my 15 or so lucids, it was 2 days ago. For some reason, I struggles to rub my hands together at first but once I got going it became easier and the dream was one of the most vivid I've had.

I spin around in a circle very fast. Read that technique somewhere and it seems to work for me, will try the rubbing of hands next time.

i found out for me it is to look at your hands and it increases your vividness and stops you from destabalizing, But remember dont look at them to long it just for stabalizing your dream and vividness more>. rubbing hands together only done once and it didnt work i could feel the friction got really hot and hands started to smoke i then woke up with my hands togther wth!! lol

I put my hands out in front of me and look at them. They are all glowy and pale (creepy!) but keeps me stable.

Shouting worked like a charm in my last dream. Or, I woke up even though the dream was very clear. Maybe I got to exited from the shouting.

I need to try rubbing my hands when the clarity isn't any good. In my first LD that I actually got to experience I had to drop to the ground and feel the pavement, concentrate on what it felt like, and visualize my surroundings to keep the dream from kicking me out again. It worked quite well... In the one after that I was distracted because I could kinda feel my real body, so I picked up a random object and just looked at it for a minute, then continued on.
