My first brief lucid!

I woke up early last night to get some work done, and decided I had one more hour left to sleep until I have to leave for school. And almost immedietly, I went into a non-lucid dream...

      Click to read my dream:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
It was dark, and I was trying to run away from a group of men in black in an empty parking lot with my mom, and I remember she was in her pajamas. We opened the stairway door (like a fire-escape stairway) but it's a balcany instead; a balcany in a large empty warehous. Everything was pitch black, but we heard them coming closer from below, and possibly aiming their guns up at us.

"They're coming," I whispered. And just like my mother irl, she replied with her distinct "huh? what did you say?". I riased my voice, "they're coming!". Then, I don't know how, but I felt my bed on my body and suddenly realized that this was a dream. I became lucid! But almost instantly I felt the walls and floor of the balcany literary started shaking like an earthquake. It was still dark, so I pushed body and my hands against the wall so I can stabalize the dream. When shaking died down, but I'm afraid the dream is still pretty unstable, so I jumped out of the balcany into the dark abyss so I could teleport somewhere else.

I don't know why the teleport didn't work, but I lost the lucidity. I woke up in by bed in my bedroom. It was morning and my dad was there (my sister is working on the table to my right). Then I started telling him about my dream, and how I finally became lucid. I think this is a false awakening?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

IN SHORT: I was lucid. But the walls are shaking, so I push my body against the wall to stabalize. I don't think its really working so I jumped off a balcony to teleport, but ended up waking up in a false awakening.

I had several dreams after this (which I can remember in vivid detail), but they're not lucid.

How do I effectively stablize dreams? And why didn't my teleport work? (I had a place in mind).

Also, I became lucid by chance. How do I make this more systematic, WILDing never worked for me I just get really close and then unknowingly fall asleep.

Why you couldn't teleport was probably because you went into darkness, this results often in the dream collapsing. Most powers have to be practiced in a dream before you can use them efficiently. Your mind is so used to the rules of reality that once you're actually free of them, it has trouble letting go. Just believe in yourself and try another way of teleporting next time. As for stabilizing you need to do it more casually, not thinking of why you're doing it. The goal is just to interact with the dream and ground yourself to it. Forget about your body and your five major senses in real life, and active those five in a dream instead.

What you should try is MILD. Have strong intentions and do visualizations/mantras just before falling asleep. Spoilers are added like this: [ SPOILER ]text[ /SPOILER ] without the spaces before and after the [ ]'s.
