      Ending My Dreams

I have just started reading up on Lucid Dreaming and wanted a few opinions.

I don't remember dreams very often at this point in time. When I do it's only for a little bit because I know I'm asleep, and I know that I'm dreaming. I get so worked up as soon as I know that I'm dreaming that I somehow loose grasp. I begin to feel my body again and wake up. All of them are very short.

Could I have been Lucid before and not have known it? How can I prolong my dreams?

      Hello there.

Yes, it is very possible that you have been lucid plenty of times before, but you just didn't remember it. That is why it is important to practice recalling our dreams, so our subconscious knows it is important to us. Have you been keeping a dream journal already? If not, I suggest you start one, as it greatly helps dream recall as well as identify dream signs.

You can prolong your dream by stabilizing it. There are many ways to do this. Check out this link! It pretty much explains everything

      Hope this helps. Good luck!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Thank you so much!

I have not remembered a dream since I started. It's been about a week, but I have not been sleeping as much as I should. I am slowly making the transitions I need to be making. Thank you for the links. I've read part of one and they seem very useful!

Sure thing! Feel free to ask anything, on the forums or in PM

I'm too lazy to write dreams down in the morning so instead I made myself an online dream journal so can open up my laptop and type it in

I was wondering if there was any info on regular dreams? I have not been lucid and I am working on the foundation of my dreams.

I told myself through out the day that I was going to remember a dream, and write it down. I had intent and it happened. The dream was short but longer then normal. Also broken up and missing pieces. I wrote mine on a piece of paper in the dark( haha ) when I worked myself up about having a dream and woke up.

Also I am going to try to be more mindful and "one-pointed" in my waking time. this dream made it very clear that I focus on the fact that it is a dream a lot rather then what's going on. (First dream and it already has benefits in my everyday life:] )

I'm not sure what you mean -- Do you mean having dreams based on what you want and creating the dreams beforehand? If yes, this might help:

Or do you mean recalling your dreams in general? Autosuggestion works really well with that (and basically anything else). Before bed, you remind yourself over and over what you want to happen and that it WILL happen. Positive thinking and expectation really helps
