Making DC's appear has never really been a problem for me. I simply say their name to myself and turn a corner and there they are. However the last 3 months or so I have really struggled with a certain DC. Every time I try and make them appear someone random will show up or someone who looks a bit like them but as I get closer they are completely different. About a year ago I could make this person appear whenever and this was back when I wasn't that good at lucid dreaming. I'm much better now and yet I can't make this person appear.
There is a lot of emotional attachment to this one person so perhaps that is linked. Perhaps I get too excited or overwhelmed, more so than I did last year. So how can I make this DC appear? If the method of turning a corner or saying their name isn't working out for me is there another way? How can I stop myself from becoming so overwhelmed?
