      Struggling to maintain control

As we all know, maintaining lucidity is the first goal for every beginner (like me). Last night I had a nightmare dream, non-lucid, of which I woke up from at 5:00 am (I slept 12:30 so 5:00 suits me best). I did a trip to the kitchen drunk some water and layed back to bed, tried WILD but failed because I had an assh*le outside who wacked his hammer all morning, so I slept. I saw this dream that I was flying (it was the continuation from my previous dream) after I jumped with my "super boots" to get away from the persuers. Long story short I realized this is not possible and tried to breathe through my closed nose, to my suprised it worked. Now I could't control where to fly and stuff it was difficult, but one thing I found impossible was to rub my hands. The dream was collapsing and I tried that but I had this strange feeling I couldnt move my arms. As much as I tried they were barely moving, so my vision blackened out and woke up.

Any tips on how to avoid that? I'm a pretty novice dream and had about 4-5 lucid dreams at most, but never attempted to fly as they were so short.

      Congrats on lucid!
Be confident with your dream control and expect it to work, doubts can be the case, and other than that just keep practicing and think positive, the more you do various dream control the better you will be able to handle it, and if one way doesn't works try doing same thing different way unless you really want to do it specific way. And remember that control is always here and you just need to learn how to use it.
By the way check out this tutorial if you haven't checked it yet: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...m-control.html

*If a double post appears it's due to my internet, it's shutting down every 2 minutes or so for some reason.

Thanks for the link, I will check it out tonight and see what happens! I'm considering highly that it's mainly due to low morale. As you said, I probably wasn't expecting for things I wanted to do to happen, thus not happening at all. I should try to move them "mentally" instead of physically next time, it will probably work, if not, then expect me on the forums soon haha.
