Ok so I have had around 6 lucid dreams in my life, and I have them since last month. All except one of my lucid dreams have been false awakenings type 2.

I am a very deep sleeper, I can usually recall most of my dreams but it is very hard to wake me up...

I have experienced my first lucid dreams after 2 days of learning about lucid dreams. It was a false awakening after I have died in my previous dream. I woke up, it was a very bright day, with everything being very vivid and bright. Although everything looked normal to me, the atmosphere was scary and I have felt that something was wrong, so I decided to do a reality check. The reality check I've done consisted of pushing my fingers into the palm of my hand. As I could push my fingers through my hand I have realized that it was a dream. Once I realized this, I have felt some kind of euphoria on the back of my head and I have woken up for real in a couple of seconds. My second lucid dream was the same and it happened about a week later.

After another week of normal dreams I have experienced 3 lucid dreams during one night and morning. First one was my favourite, it wasn't actually a false awakening. It started out as a normal dream, I've been exploring google maps, but in the dream everything on the google maps looked realistic and in 3D as in real life. I was just flying around and exploring the landscape, then I wanted to show my brother who was in a room with me a place on the map. I couldn't find this place and I reminded myself of the lucid dreaming and I wanted to tell my brother about it. That's when I have noticed that it was a dream, suddenly I have teleported from my room to the place that was currently displayed in the maps. It was a very beautiful landscape, I felt so happy I started to run around on the meadow. After few seconds everything from the scenery became very bright, it became so bright that I could only see bright colours but no scenery. That's when I decided to keep myself calm, but it was too late, I have woken up. After I've woken up I did a reality check (pushing fingers into my palm) straight away, to my surprise it was a lucid dream too, but it lasted for no more than 5 seconds and I have woken up again to the real world this time, before waking up for real I have again felt this huge euphoria feeling in the back of my head.

After I've woken up from this dream I fell asleep after a couple of a minutes, but I didn't know that I fell asleep. I was in the same position on my bed that I was in before I was asleep, so I thought I was still awake. I started chatting with my friend on the phone, but after some time he begun to hack my phone and laptop that appeared next to me. I was telling him to stop, but he didn't, after some time the laptop next to my bed started to close and open rapidly. I have became lucid then and decided to do a reality check (same one as always) I've found out that I was asleep. I have closed my eyes in the dream and tried to imagine a beautiful landscape but I couldn't, it was pitch black behind my closed eyes. After a couple of seconds a red ball appeared in front of me. This gave me an idea to imagine myself on the surface of a mars planet. So I tried to imagine myself on the mars but instead I've started to see a lot of different shapes. That's when I have opened my eyes in my dream and suddenly my whole vision, the whole room I've seen, dropped down as if a TV screen dropped down on the floor in front of me, and I couldn't see anything else, it became pitch black. After a second or two I woke up for real.

My last lucid dream happened yesterday. I've had a false awakening, but everything felt so real that I didn't even think of doing a reality check. I've felt the pressure of the bed I've been lying on, I've felt the uncomfortable heat (it was a very hot night), I've felt everything as if I was awake. That's why I didn't think of doing a reality check, I was lying in my bed for a few minutes being very uncomfortable and trying to fall asleep. After these few minutes I have decided to push my fingers through my palm as a reality check, though I didn't suspect being asleep. To my surprise I was asleep, after I have found out I was asleep in a matter of few seconds I have woken up for real, being in the same position as when I was in a false awakening. When I was waking up for real I have heard this huge humming sound in my head and I felt this huge fear for no reason, I have also felt some kind of comfortable electricity going through my whole body (I've felt this everytime when I was waking up for real from a lucid dream).

The last time I was in a false awakening I was really calm, I just became scared for no reason, I didn't control this fear, but although I was scared I was very calm and I could feel being calm, yet I still woke up.

My question is, how to stay in a lucid dream once you find out you're dreaming? I've got just a second or 2 to keep myself in a dream, so I need to find out a very quick way to stop myself from waking up. When I was in a false awakening, 3 out of 5 times I've felt this very scary atmosphere, that's possibly a reason that I have woken up. But the other 2 times I was calm so according to my knowledge I should stay asleep. Maybe it's because I'm pushing fingers through my palm? Maybe it's too shocking for my brain? Also I don't keep a dream journal, I have kept it for a few of my dreams when I've found out about lucid dreams, but since around 2 weeks I don't use it. I just try to remember most of my dreams in my mind because I don't like to write dreams in my journal when I wake up, I prefer to go back to sleep because as I'm a very deep sleeper, I am very sleepy when I wake up.
