Hello,

I'm new here to this message board, and apologize in advanced if any of these questions have already been answered. I have done lots of searching online and haven't found anything about some of these problems I have while lucid dreaming. I am still relatively new, having only become lucid probably less than 20 times, and even then most of my LDs have been only semi-lucid or lasting for very short time periods. The biggest problem I often have is that after realizing I'm dreaming and becoming lucid, my vision begins to fade very quickly, along with most other physical sensations. I will often try to open my eyes in the dream, only to end up opening my eyes in the real world where I am sleeping and awaken from my dream. In my last lucid dream, I realized after checking my clock that I was 3 hours late for work, but then thought about how I'm never late, and suddenly realized I must be dreaming. Immediately after this my vision started to fade, so I began rubbing my hands vigorously while shouting "Clarity now". Although it did delay the amount of time it took to lose my vision and sense of touch, ultimately I still ended up without either of these senses. At this point, I tried opening my eyes and did not appear to be in any particular place, as all I could see was white brightness from all around me. However my sense of touch, alongside the ability to speak, was still gone. Shortly after my vision faded again, and the next time I opened my eyes I was awake in my bed (I also did my reality check to make sure it wasn't a false awakening). Has anybody else experienced anything like this? What did you do to maintain your senses? Any advice from other lucid dreamers?
