      Dealing with DCs

Ok, I was talking to AmethystStar about this. If the DCs stop you from playing around in a lucid dream what should you do? For instance a couple lucid dreams ago I was flying over a guy and he grabbed onto my leg and wouldn't let go. And whenever I use kool powers people freak out and try and stop me.

      friend or foe

I think the opposite. I feel you should befriend any enemies in your dreams. After all they are your manifestation, so you are only fighting yourself.
As for me, my conscience will not allow me to cross the lines. I have tried and tried. But my mind has set moral boundaries that I have yet to overcome.
I suppose I should take into consideration that I shouldn't

you know what i would do? (even though thats never happened to me) I'd just kick his arse. And, yeah, sometimes its fun to do all this fake-but-cool-looking stuff, but sometimes i just beat them senseless the way i do in real life. Or, for a Star Wars-ish approach, you could just (make sure to say it, not just think it,) , say "i have a lightsaber in my pocket and i'm not afraid to use it!" then, when i reach in my pocket, it really is there, and sometimes i like to say, how do you handle a lightsaber? and give them one and have an epic duel while everyone else in the street is just like, "what? uhh whats going on!" its pretty fun/hilarious.

I say befreind a DC and teach them to fly, weild a shotgun, etc. But most importantly teach them to cover your back, tell you that you are dreaming, how to prolong lucidity, and to make dreams more clear. They will stay arround for the rest of the dream, but they don't seem to transfer over to other nights(or atleast I haven't been able to get them to).

Interesting... So, some of you are saying "Just kill them. Others are saying "Befriend them". I have tried the befriending before but that is before i ticked them off. I think i will expirement with this, but i haven't had any recently where the dc's are bugging me. I kinda agree with Ev on the link Raven gave: that you should just wipe out their mind and make them emotionless.

Pick up the nearest car, throw it at them and say, "Think Fast!"

Well actually maybe it is fun destroying dream characters.

Unless you feel a DC is something outside the realm of your own manifestation, it would seem to me that dealing with this character in a non violent way would be more productive.
If a violent DC is submitted to you by your subconscious it would seem to point that you have an aggressive stance toward a particular incident. So to overcome that through a non violent approach would resolve it rather than make it worse.
If you feel that DC are nothing more than DC, with no meaning then, shit! have fun

I've actually been looking forward to another LD so I can play around with the minds of a DC. I've been on an LD drought recently, so I've not had a chance to talk with them.

The only one I had a chance to talk to got mad at me. I was just following her around asking her "get to know you" type questions and she got mad at me and told me to stop following her.

Next on my agenda is to ask:
      1. Where they go when I'm not around.
      2. Tell them they aren't real and see their reactions.
      3. Ask some philosophical questions and see what they say.
      4. Follow one around and just ask silly questions to see what they say.
