I think i need some help!

so i have lucid dreams about once a week now.
ive just started to have LDs only kind of recently, well like for the past few months.

and at first i thought it was normal to have small control...but its getting annoying.
i mean i can control all of my own actions in the LDs but like sometimes things dont work. like techniques for different things. like the spinning technique. and its impossible to create people/things. [id like some advice on making a certain person appear, btw]

      help!

The spinning technique doesn't help me either.
To make a person appear, you simply need to expect them to appear.
So instead of wanting them to pop into existence in front of your eyes, give your head a break and create a more realistic way for them to appear.

Like walking along the road on the horizon.
Or turning a corner toward you.
Something you wouldn't think was strange in the real world.

Perhaps also try calling the person on the phone and see if you can get that right.

Ooooh that phone trick is risky, you could end up losing your Lucidity using a phone in a dream, well just as long as you dont try to dile any real numbers, so just speak as if it was already connected to them.

Good point. I don't recall ever dialing a number. Or if I did, it was just random

The best way to create things, i find, is to create them out of your vision. Use your hand to cover the place you want the thing or person to appear, or summon an object in your hand, outta the corner of your eye

Yep, or find the object in your pocket, or in a box, or just around the corner.
People will be unlike to be in your pocket, but they might be in a box or around a corner or behind a door.

There are certain things that works better for some people, others do not. For me, here's the list.

Verbal Commands - Almost Useless. They work poorly for me.

Creating beams/light effects - I use my hands, they can be quite useful.

      Illumination - I can't control it. Yet.

Making People appear - I just look around. I usually find them.

Making Objects appear - Same as above. But I want to try funny things

Telekinesis - I just imagine a invisible link between I and the object. Then move it like you would move your hand.

Levitation - I close my eyes, raise my hands, and feel lighter

High Running Speed - Try to feel your feet lighter.

Wall Running - It's the easiest thing to do. For me, anyway.

If you can't do something, try it in a different way. If you can't make objects appear, why don't you ask DCs where you can get one? If you can't fly, buy a flying pill. This is a useful way to make things work

      Heh, that's funny.
All I ever use is my mind , I only use verbal commands / hand-rubbing and stuff to ''test'' if it actually prolongs my LD.

But for all my ''powers'', I just use my mind and think. (eg.: If I want to use telekinesis I just expect it to fly up if I want it to, so I point at the object and wave up, and the object flies up too).

You could say that everything in my dreams that I do, almost goes naturally Without ''forcing it'' at all (I just do what I want to do without ''aiding'' by doing certain things like raising hands and imagining myself becoming light).

Hmm.. To create characters and stuff though, try to imagine an object, that can do stuff (eg.: A remote control that can destroy people), then open a drawer or god may know what expecting the remote control most of the times it WILL have the destructive power.
(of course you can imagine it having other powers as well)

Btw: the spinning technique works like **** for me as well, whenever I do that i just spin in slowmotion... and the dream ends 5 seconds after. lol

Lol, i have a theory that most people, including myself don't do the spinning technique properly. In Exploring the world of lucid dreaming Stephen puts specific emphasis on imagining your body's inertia, and feeling the breeze etc, as you do the technique, rather than just imagining the spinning itself! Next time I need to stay in a dream, I'm gonna give it a go

An apple is pretty easy to materialize, even in your hand. But a talking, breathing, interacting person can be a bit tricky. What i do is look for a door to anything, it doesnt matter and simply pretend and believe you can hear them behind the door, then just call their name. "Jessica Simpson, come out of there right now" (door opens and porn music begins)
