Don't try to fly.
Just fly. You CAN do it, if you know that you can.
There ARE laws of physics within dreams, but they are different from the waking world.
They are based on your thoughts. Your brain controls everything in a dream.
What you think, is true. If you think that you might not fly, you might not.
In fact, the more you care... the deeper your concern that you might not fly, the more likely you are to fail in your attempt. Even if you tell yourself that you can do this, you might not, if you have a small sliver of doubt about it.
You have to be POSITIVE that you can do this, and you should be, because you CAN. I promise you.
Don't have any doubt. Know that you can do it.
When you are about to fly, EXPECT it to happen. Be surprised if it doesn't.
If this doesn't work, DEMAND that it happens. Get !$#% off and shout out your intent..
Finally, if all else fails, trying IMAGINING it happening. Pretend it's happening. You'd be surprised at how much of an effect it has.
Be careful when using this method though. Many times, when I use this method, it causes the integrity of my dream to degrade, because now, instead of dreaming, you are just imagining it. Use it in short bursts, and you should be fine though. I've found this to work VERY well, even if it does come at a price. Perhaps you can imagine yourself flying upwards, and breaking the barrier that is holding you to the ground.
I had the same problem for a long time. I hovered a few feet over the ground. When I tried to fly, I would actually drop to inches above the ground. I used to think, 'What's going on!?' because I was so use to free flight. It was a strange sensation to not be able to fly. Flying would also be bumpy for some reason...
Anyway, I overcame this problem with these methods.
The bottom line is that you have to remember that you CAN do it.
Just do it.
