Flying in dreams is something that you ultimately have to just do. It's something that you have to pretty much figure out in the end. Different things work for different people. So, my advice would be to seriously try a multitude of things. I do a lot of things, when I want to fly. First, try crouching down really low and jumping into the air. Just keep ascending. Or, try simply thinking yourself in the air, by levitation. |

Gee... thanks, but its usually yhe unusual things that make you fly, but again, thanks. |

i flew in my first lucid dream, it was low level lucidity so i didn't control much bu i guess the best way too do it is imagine yourself flying and completely believe in yourself, know that you can do it, i'm going to try flying in future lucid dreams |
|
I always imagine that there's engines in my feet that propel me around. Just experiment a bit and you'll find what's best for you. |

I usually throw myself off a high place. There is nothing that brings out your inner bird like the threat of imminent death! |

That is what i would recommend too. Even though you are in a dream and know it (assuming you're Lucid), your instincts from real life still exist, and when you jump of a cliff/waterfall (what I did)/tall building your instincts say, "Holy Shit! I'm gonna die!". But your brain tries to find a solution to any problem it has, and since it's a dream and you can do anything, your brain will solve the problem by letting you fly. Just make sure you're in a dream first, you don't want to end up like smiley in a microwave here |

lol this reminds me of my lucid dream last nite. i was on top of the eifel tower and i thurt i mite b dreamin because i dont no how i got there i looked at my hands but they wernt any different but i was so sure i was dreamin. i jumped off hoping to fly , i tried superman, flapped my arms. but i just fell to my death. but my lucid dream after that i definatly new i was dreaming so i flew perfectly. |

There's also a tutorial on the subject with a huge list of ideas. (If you have any more ideas, let me know and I'll try to update it.) |

look up at the sky and imagine the ground is a roof and your standing on it. then you fall off. |

Jump up and focus really hard on moving forwards or up. You have to focus really hard. |

a smart idea is to ask a dc to teach you how to fly, and fly with you |
|
I would suggest transforming into a flying creature (dragon, bird, winnebago, exc.), or using a flying machine (anything from a skateboard to a train locomotive will do), but then again, these are only things I have not tried myself yet. |
|
Even that sounds pretty hard for a bigginer who can't yet fly. Though a cool idea for a more experienced person, I don't think transforming/spawning wings is the best way to do it, as you may get dependant on it, and it is far more difficult than something simpler like jumping off a cliff or jumping up and missing the ground as you go down (which now i just remember is exactly how I flew the first time, I rembered the jumping off the cliff, and I just remembered the missing the ground because I got distracted by something now.) |
|
I would jump on the bandwagon with jumping down to fly--of course I'd suggest doing a dive off of a chair first. (God forbid something crazy might happen and you get messed up and think you're LD'ing and you're not!! |

In my totally useless opinion, flying is much easier than most other things in lucid dreams. You can just start running in one direction and then stop hitting the ground between strides. Of course, i haven't even mastered alcamy yet, so what do I know. |

I just imagine the "zero-g" feeling you get when you drop quickly, and then just let go of the ground; I might also try imagining acceleration pulling me foreward. |

If your a male then don't bother trying to fly as you would proberly end up looking for someone to have sex with in the dream instead. |
