So, I went straight into lucid dreaming threw a WILDing. I got out of my bed and levitated, I was planning on going threw the ceiling and doing something from there. I was in fair control and totally 100% I was going to be about to just go threw the wall. Do I need some sort of way to actually get threw, despite it being my own dream??

I also didn't take the time to ground myself and take a second to get my perspective on things, whereas in reality I know better, do things like that just come naturally as I get more lucid dreams?

There's not a whole lot you have to do to go through a wall. Just push your hand through. Don't think about "what if it doesn't go through" or else it probably won't. Just go for it! I've actually enjoyed going through walls. It's kind of fun!

It's not really necessary to get a perspective, unless you're curious about what the scene around you looks like. Sometime it's nice if you're looking for something to do. In a dream, you can go anywhere and be anywhere, though it may take some practice getting there. The two most important parts of dream control are being creative and knowing that you can do what you want to do. There's not really a wrong way to do something, unless it just refuses to work, but then you can come up with some other idea. And then don't think about failure. You'll get it.

And it will get easier as you have more LDs.

Going through walls is like, my FAVORITE thing to do. This is my technique: I look away, and throw myself through the wall sideways. Definetly make sure you are dreaming before attempting this.

Is there anything I can do to help myself remember things while becoming lucid?

Do you mean remember things from real life, or remember the dream when you wake up?

He means remember how he was told to walk through walls in his dreams. :)

And you just need experience, my lucid dreams were blurry at first too, now they're always crystal clear and I can remember what I wanted to try.

The more you practice your lucid skills, the better you get. Once you learn how to do something while lucid, you can almost always do it again easily the during your next lucid bout. Kind of like building up skills in an RPG.

      Two things:

      1. Know what you want to do in your LD before going to bed. Decide what to do so you don't have to waste time.

      2. Remind yourself before going to bed. Go over your plan a few times so that you have it in your mind.

Again, it just takes practice. In time you'll learn more about your own dreams and how your lucidity works. Personally, I've learned that when I become lucid, (with the exception of the last LD I had where I was lucid a whole 3 seconds) everything goes black and I start to wake up. I've come up with a way to fix that and with some more LDs I'm sure I'll get past it. Everyone's different, so you'll figure it out

Thanks for the help. I was hoping there would be something I could during waking life to help me out, but no big deal.
