      changing scenes with spinning?

      hey everyone.

does anyone have any really reliable way to get where ever i want in my dreams?
im working on FILD atm..so i will become lucid in my bed but whats an effective way of getting around

i tried spinning once...i looked at the floor it turned into the beach i wanted and then back to the floor where I was. anyone know how to fix this problem? id say spinnings advantage is that you can do it anywhere...unlike flying

is flying reliable for anyone though? i can fly pretty well i think.

any other scene changing reliable methods would be appreciated

Spinning is very reliable for me. I decide where I want to go, close my eyes and spin HARD. I usually end up where I want to go, but feeling slightly ill when I get there.

Flying works. Two other ways I like changing scenes is by approaching a door and "knowing" what's on the other side is where I want to be, and by passing through a mirror - which has become my favorite.

ah thanks PJ...so you shut your dream eyes and spin? i kept mine open.. i guess if you want to increase lucidity you keep em open and to change scene you could shut them.

what do you do about your spinning sickness? haha

and what is on the other side of mirrors? do you use them just like a door?

Well, I get motion sick in RL, so that's probably just a carryover. Shouldn't need to happen, but it does. When I spin, I spin as hard and fast as I can, immersing completely in the sensation. I use it now more as a way to keep from waking up than transporting.

Yes - I use mirrors like doors... just pass through them and "know" where I'll end up. It is a wonderfully weird sensation, passing through a mirror.

I had one pretty long lucid where I combined these. I was in a house, and "knew" there was a room full of mirrors. I went through the door and was in it, then went through one of them to get outside so I could do one of the lucid tasks. Later in the dream I came back to the room... and found a sentry outside the door keeping anybody from going in!
