      Trouble spawning certain items

I just had my first two LDs after attempting to LD again and they were way better than the few I had in 2005. Each dream (They were during two separate nights) was a DILD, but I was fully lucid. I knew it was a dream and I could do whatever I wanted but I couldn't give myself a gun.

I tried reaching in my pockets, I tried just believing that I had a gun, I've tried turning around thinking there will be one there, but I can't seem to give myself one no matter what I do. I also can't make and DCs appear that aren't already in the scene. The dream I had last night I tried thinking that my friend would be around the corner because I told him to meet me here. He wasn't there. I tried turning around expecting to see him, he wasn't there.

The strange thing is I can get a fictional character to appear in my dreams a lot easier. I looked around a corner expecting to see Agent Smith and he's there. Pretty soon Agent Smiths are jumping off buildings and running out of doors everywhere chasing me. I can get a person I know, or a person that is real to appear in any of my dreams.

Does anyone else have trouble with these things?

      Weak control

Sometimes it does happen to me, I don't know why.

Usually I find it easy to conjure up just about anything. But sometimes it's like I'm not convinced, hence it doesn't work.

When such things happen, I go back one or two steps, and try simple tasks such as walking through an object or a wall. Being able to do so helps me to become grounded into the dream.

Only then can I re-attempt more complex tasks like making people appear, changing a scene.

So, I recommend what many people in this forum have said on several occasions : if you become lucid but nothing seems to work, go back to basics — touch objects, look around, get the feeling of the dream.

And talk to yourself. Say : "I'm dreaming, this is my dream, I like this dream, I feel good".

Not really.. But, the more one wish one had it, the more one claim not to have it, so one can get it.....

[Same goes for real life living, BTW.]

As I was slipping in to a dream last night, I thought about your post.

Instant spawning, like the gun in your pants, would have to be fealt as it came in to being.

Ever tried it indirectly? .. like; take a door near you, and image a room full of guns will be on the other side, just know it! And then when you open the door, you could grab any gun you want..

Not sure if this is helpful but..

I like to pull a magic wand out of my pocket and wave it around to make stuff appear. How this helps I'm not sure, but it's kinda fun to be Harry Potter!

Some cool ways to spawn people that I heard was to:
-Pick up a phone and call whoever you want to appear
-ask a DC to get the person to appear for you

I never tried those though, so I"m not sure how well they work.

asking a DC where they are is flawless..its the only way that I've succeeded with

therefore i'de believe asking a DC where "object y" is, should be just as good.

      goodluck
