Learn how to learn to walk through walls with Halo

I never use doors in my lucid dreams, but I notice that some people do, or if they try to walk through a wall they will bounce off. The mind can't really create something that it is unfamiliar with, you don't walk through walls so it's not really sure what to expect. This can be solved by walking through walls in video games. You need Halo or Halo 2 for this exercise. On Halo: Start the level: 343 Guilty Spark and wait until you are just about to be released from the Pelican (right at the beginning,) now throw a grenade or two. This will prevent you from getting out and you will now ride it until it lands in the woods. Get out of it and walk around. The top has no collision detection because the programmers never expected you to get up there. Walking through trees and stuff will give your mind something to go on. On Halo 2: Start the Outskirts level. Play through it until you get to the entrance to the tunnel. Go to the right side of the hole with a ghost. Jump on the ghost and then on part of the hole. From there you can climb onto the top. Up there there are actual buildings and walls that you can walk through. A few minutes of that and your brain will have a visualization of what it is to walk through a wall.

I've always like the idea of sommoning a keyboard and typing noclip, like in most PC shooters for this same effect. Never got to try it yet, though.

As a kid I already walked through walls in dreams x-ray version so you dont really need something to suspect. Later it often made me lucid just by walking through walls, doors etc x-ray style. You just must believe in the suggestion that it is possible. I still do it in lds and its fun. Orignally I copied the idea from a super hero comic, where a superhero could change its mass and density and therefor could walk through walls etc. When I was chased in a dream as a kid I remembered this talent and tried it by means of suggestion..just yelled loud "No mass" and walked through the nearest wall and it worked. Now I dont have to yell lol anything anymore, I associate the feeling of emptiness and walk through anything I want in a ld. Also walking over water is fun in a ld..I associate with the feeling of emptiness and walking over water or floating in the air is suddenly no problem either.

Haha, I played Halo a LOT right before getting into lucid dreaming, and I always walk through walls in my LDs, as well. Although, I've had times in low level lucidity that I couldn't even get through, and got really frustrated.

i always found its just easier to walk through them backwards... sometimes if im still a bit anxious, i jump backwards with my eyes closed -- it's never failed before

I've never tried it personally, but I've just decided on a whim that in my next lucid, I'm going to try and run towards a wall Harry Potter - Platform 9 and 3/4ths style. Maybe I'll bring a cart and owl as well. Michael Running and diving through the wall always works for me. Another technique I also use consists of focusing on just making one hand go through the wall. I place the tips of the fingers on the wall and push a little, they will go through and after that it's like I am "connected" with the wall and my whole body can go through.

Or, taking the not-glitch route, play The Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time. Drop down the well in Kakariko Village, or go into the Shadow Temple. Both areas are filled with walls that you can walk through... And wallmasters... And skulltullas... And stalfos... And re-deads...

i always found its just easier to walk through them backwards... sometimes if im still a bit anxious, i jump backwards with my eyes closed -- it's never failed before Thats the way I do it most (though I dont do it often) I step back and just seem to merge with the obstacle then go through it. I also use stepping backwards to achieve invisibility (one of the ways I can do it anyway) I just step back and 'out' of myself and then Im invisible. I know thats nothing to do with the thread but I have never wondered why I step backwards before, now Im curious lol
