Trying to get out of bed in a False awakening.

Well this morning I woke up at like 4 and tried to do a FILD but I couldn't fall back asleep. I talked to my friend and he told me to go back to bed and try it. (this was 3 hours after i've been awake) I did and I started daydreaming and then I felt my eyes get real heavy. I start moving my fingers and boom I see flashes and I hear my tv on. I do the nose plug RC and i can breath through my nose. I open my eyes and can't see anything for a little. Then my vision starts clearing up. I'm laying in my bed. I try to sit up but as I sit up I immediately awoke. I have no idea why I did that and is it normal?

Which bit? The whole thing or just the waking up?

If you hadn't sat up than that could have been a perfectly ordinary FILD.

Maybe you sat up too hard or something. It generally shouldn't have woken you up.

Ohh I heard that it has happened to other people, and do you think that me doing it in the morning and knowing that I am usually up at this hour had something to do with it?

Quite possibly. But I think that it might be that you wern't really expecting to become lucid so easily. You may have more excited by how easy it was and woke up before you realized how excited you were or had time to calm down. But i could also be wrong... hope I got my point across clear. Good luck.

Yeah luc I think your explaination is the best one. I was a little excited in my dream and tried to calm down but couldn't. I wasn't even excpecting to become lucid or even fall asleep for that matter.
